No spoilers: overall impressions

An hour into the first one.....Is it everything I hoped? Yes and no.....yes in that it's Gilmore Girls, and it has the same feel. But so far an hour in not much has happened considering it is supposed to be 3 months of their life and It feels like a few days.

I'm enjoying it for nostalgia purposes but think it needs more. Am loving how they are dealing with Richard passing away though.

Although I will say as a 32 year old single woman who has no idea where her life is going I'm really identifying with Rory. Much more than I did when she was a driven teenager.

Just started spring. First 15-20 minutes of winter seemed awkward but really enjoyed since then.

I could have done without Summer. Loved Winter. Spring was fun. I liked Fall except for the final four words--I feel ripped off.

I'm still blown away by Lauren and Kelly. Lauren's performance is so nuanced, like the perfect mashup of her best work on GG and parenthood. Kelly is just phenomenal. Alexis kind of sucks. She doesn't have the training the other 2 have and it shows.

LOL. I'm at my parents' for the holiday (mom and I are big GG fans who made a plaid flannel day of this) and my H, who never really watched but knows the voices, texted me to ask if adult Rory still talks like a 4-year-old.

Same. I was a very driven teen that is way more la la la in my early 30s. Ha ha

It was exactly as I hoped it would be: a warm blanket. I feel like I'm a lot of ways it was the same show, but also more expansive which made it more interesting.

Without spoilers, I will say that I enjoyed the first 2.5 episodes. Halfway through the third one I got frustrated and the last one really pissed me off. But I would say that the first 4 hours were blissful.

There were too many moments, like the musical, that took up too much time for 4 episodes.

I have not watched Fall, but agree. I enjoyed the first two and 1/2 of the third. I'm losing interest. I was wondering if it was due to binge watching. I decided to wait a while for Fall. I am bored.

I watched them all yesterday with my 8 year old. She has insisted that we go back to season 1 and start watching again. She didn't want it to end.

I enjoyed the episodes, but there were parts that felt like ASP didn't really pay attention to previous storylines (back from when she was still running things).

I'm finished with Winter and just starting Spring. I thought Winter started out kind of slow, but I warmed up to it towards the end. Rory/Alexis just felt awkward and unlikable.

I'm glad to have watched it. Was it what I hoped for? No but I'm not mad. I don't want more. That would ruin it.

The false eyelashes are OOC in the revival. Did anyone else notice this? All 3 of the girls have got some crazy lashes when they wake up. It's most noticeable on Lorelai in the MOTN scenes and Emily in Fall.
