Go see Moonlight

I just got back from seeing it and I'm still reeling.

It's a coming of age story about a black boy in Miami, but it touches on so so much more - sexuality, prison pipeline, bullying, black masculinity, epidemic of drugs, love, vulnerability, identity, family.

And it features beautifully shot black bodies... It was so good, even though I was crying walking to my car. And on my way home. And at home. Lol

Lol I'm just sensitive I guess. No one else in the theater was crying. My brother said he was choked up at the last scene, but he didn't cry either.

Go see it!

Fwiw I didn't cry at all. I wouldn't let that stop you from seeing it.
