I know there's a few of us here this week. Is anyone else having magic band issues? We have spent hours dealing with it so far. Every time we would try to use our MB for the dining plan or to charge to the room it said we have no charging privileges. Some CMs were pretty rude about it too. We finally get it working - after wasting an entire morning at guest services. I know they fixed it because I was able to buy a lollipop at Epcot. Then we go to dinner. The whole system crashes!! We have to pay with a regular cc, and now will be back at guest services this morning. At least it wasn't just us this time.

They offered to extend our stay, but we can't because of work and school. I think we are getting a credit for a future stay. They also gave us a bunch of fast passes that are good for every ride except frozen ever after. ETA- so much has happened the past 2 days , I'll do a full trip report when i get on an actual computer!!

At least they are making up for it.
In the past when the dining system has crashed on me I have been given meals for free and they haven't taken my credits and or refunded any payment I made. I am glad they are compensating your time though. Time is $ at Disney.
I am glad that they offered to make you whole. One year my Tables in Wonderland card had so many issues (WHY do they not make them hard plastic?!) and they gave me a $300 credit for my troubles.
We are going soon but staying off site so only will use our MB for FP+. I hope that your troubles end soon!!

One of the cashiers at the AoA food court told me you could call and order a plastic one once you buy the original. I have no idea if he's correct but it sounds like a good option if you are using it multiple times a year!

Slightly off topic, but I learned something interesting. If 2 people with the same name try to check in with different reservations it gets all screwed up. The system can't recognize that they are different people even with separate reservation #'s. that's got to suck for people with common names!! In our case, dh and his dad have the same first and last but different middles, and it tripped their computers up. I thought it was just because we were traveling together but the CM said no. It would have happened even without the reservations being linked. Also, if you have old MBs from prior trips be careful. That was another issue we ran into. We should have declined getting new MBs this time.
Yes, we couldn't use magic bands last night. They told us to use our credit cards and then have them reimbursed when the magic bands were up and running. All seems fine today, though.

I know this is beside the point, but why can you use it on everything but that one ride? That would annoy me. What's it to them if you want to ride Frozen with a fast pass?

daisyfay25 they overbooked FP+ for that ride, so it's excluded from the magical FP we were given. The standby line was over 2.5 hours the other day. We did end up riding it using a paper FP that was a birthday gift from a CM. Trust me, it's not worth the wait. Lol.

OK I guess that makes sense lol. We have FP reservations for one evening were there, how long did you wait in line with a FP?

We experienced the dining system crashing also, but we didnt get anything to make up for it. We payed with cc and I sent DH to the front desk- they didn't refund the meal on the cc, they took the money off our room charges. Which isn't a big deal but I have a gc to pay for our room charges so this will mess with our vacation budget.
Other than that we haven't had any problems with the magic bands and we have multiple ones from previous trips. We did online check-in and it worked great.
