What impossible gifts have your kids asked for?

I always get a kick out of what ridiculous/hilarious things children ask for. Is there anything your kids have asked Santa to bring them for Christmas that does not actually exist? Or maybe something extremely specific?

My older daughter has repeatedly asked for a "Daniel Tiger Car" and a thorough google search shows up nothing. I think I've gathered from her that what she ACTUALLY means is a red car, so that's what I got her. Obviously he has a trolley, but she knows that it's a trolley and not a car, so she's really asking for a car LOL.

My 2.5 year old told me she wants to get daddy lots of trees for Christmas. Although it's generous, I don't think that ones gonna happen.

My 6 yo asked for a free house (what do you call what you live in now?!) and a treehouse. (We only have trees that hang over the street.

My 3 yo asked for a hyena.

Annabelle (2.5 years) has repeatedly asked for a Christmas rooster and most recently a "spooky bus".

Santa is working on the rooster, but if the spooky bus sticks maybe a Scooby doo van?

DS1 asked for an excavator 2 years ago. A REAL one.

Yeah, no. LOL. Kiddo settled for a toy excavator.

A black Doc McStuffins bike. DH thinks we can buy a black bike and put a decal on it somehow. I still haven't figured out what we're going to do so I'm open to ideas.

My son asked for real live my singing monsters one year. It's an app with little animated monsters who sing that you hatch out of eggs.

When DS was 3 or so, he asked for lots of candy and a few tigers.

A red panda.

You can donate and "adopt" a red panda through the World Wildlife Fund and they send you a stuffed red panda and certificate. I am going to do that and include a letter from Santa that says unfortunately, we cannot take red pandas from their natural habitat but Santa has adopted one on your behalf and will look after it (or something like that).

I ask what she wants. "Presents." I ask what kind. "Stripes." I ask if the stripes should be on something special, like a shirt or a doll or a car. "No. Just stripes."

DS asked for a rope. So he can swing down from upstairs to our lower level (split-level house). Like a monkey. It's ok, because he'll be careful and land on his feet.

J wants to play basketball with the Golden State Warriors and baseball with the Chicago Cubs. He believes that he could easily be on their teams and that they just need to see him play. He would also like O'Dell Beckham Jr. to have dinner at our house.

A Voltron toy. Technically, this isn't impossible but thanks to grown men with 80s nostalgia, the originals sell for $$$ and apparently no one figured out that putting the show on Netflix might create a market for new toys. I actually contacted a company that has the rights to make the new toys and they said they'd be out in November or December. We'll see. Nothing yet.

Can you wrap in striped paper? When DD was 2 she just wanted "red presents" so I wrapped everything in red. She seemed satisfied.

Mine too. My parents have a farm, so it's not completely outside the realm of possibility, but... not gonna happen.

She will settle for a dog, which is also a hard no from me.

I hope she's not too disappointed when she gets Barbies and shopkins instead.

She's obsessed with watching videos of kids getting horses on Christmas.    Again, not going to happen.

This was my thought, too. I don't know that she really understands the concept of giving/receiving presents fully, yet, so this was my best guess.

My DS (7) has asked for a 4 wheeler that turns into anything wants - like an xbox, a submarine or a dog - whatever he's feeling like playing with that day. You should have seen the looks that Santa gave me while he was making this request. Santa even asked if it had to be full size and my son said "definitely". Heaven help me!

The suits and power discs from Wild Kratts that let them turn into animals. He specifically asked for it as a Santa gift because I told him that's not a real thing but "Santa will know how to make it". Uh-huh
