DH has spent most of the day tiling the bathroom that's in the basement at my ILs. (The one we will be using.) So yay, I almost have a bathroom!
I've done lots of laundry today and I've reorganized some of our space in the basement. It's all coming along so nicely.
Tomorrow I am volunteering at a speed skating event that my friend was needing volunteers for. We will see how that goes. (I'm volunteering for 6 hrs!)

Work sucked this week!!! Not only did I work 9-10 hour days I had to bring my laptop home and catch up on billing and documentation after L went to bed. I am ready for the weekend!

Tomorrow night there is a holiday boat parade I want to check out. Just need to find a good spot to watch.
Sunday night we are meeting a friend and her BF and doing dinner, then going to this Christmas Village place with lights/Santa/gingerbread displays etc. Funny/weird story with that. So she is a huge Christmas fan and loves Santa, decorations, etc. I texted her last weekend to invite them and I get a response from her BF's phone. He is like "This is J. I intercepted your message on A's phone and deleted it, because I thought it would be fun to surprise her by meeting up with y'all." So....cute and all I guess, but I'd be majorly annoyed if my significant other read and deleted my texts. Just me? Haha
Today is the only day H and I have off together this week, and we won't have another day off together until the 15th, so we spent the day hanging out.
Since he's working this weekend, I'm planning on spending my weekend finishing up my finals, running errands, and getting out the Christmas decorations.
Where the heck have I been?? I think I got lost in the trenches of having a newborn. Also I have a hard time typing with one hand while nursing so I've just been playing an insane amount of Yahtzee on my app. The good news is I've racked up so many points that I've been able to buy lots of fun colored dice. The bad news is I have no life.
Even though I've been MIA on here, I have bought and prepared my sock exchange package and will be mailing it off on Monday or Tuesday. Hope she likes it 😁
LOL MrsAggie! How are the boys doing? How is bedtime going when you have both of them by yourself? I hear ya...we are in the trenches right now. L had his 2 month appointment on Monday and got his shots...he has been a mess since (30 min naps unless being held, up 4+/night). I tried Tylenol and nearly killed him (he choked REALLY bad) so stopped giving him that. It is going by so fast though and I feel like we are finding our groove...it doesn't stress me out when I take both of them for errands or have to do nap time with both of them so that's progress.
We had a good afternoon/evening. I made dinner right after nap so we could get out of the house. Took the boys for a walk and then a friend and her boys came to visit and drop off diapers and clothes. C got to play with his friend and get some much needed attention so that was nice.
No plans for the weekend. Might see if DH wants to try going to church this weekend. Would like to run and maybe some time at the park too.
wanderingenough, that would annoy me too! We pretty much only look at each other's texts when we ask the other person to (like when we are traveling and my mom is texting or something)
We're going up to PA today for my niece's birthday, we're going up early so we can spend some time with the kids and help with getting ready. SIL's family always shows up super late so it always turns into a really long night, so we are staying over.
When we get home tomorrow we want to start unpacking the Christmas decorations and take some photos of R for the cards because I really need to order them soon!
Today we're going down to my parents whenever H gets home. My mom wants to go shopping so we will probably do that. Tomorrow we're going to our friend's son's 4th birthday party
wanderingenough- that would piss me off too. I don't mind DH reading my texts but if he deleted them I would not be happy. (We only read each other's texts usually if the other one asks us too, like while driving or something.)
wanderingenough - I don't know if I would be pissed in this particular situation. I mean, it's kind of an extenuating circumstance. I think if he was regularly reading, replying to, and/or deleting texts it would be different, but I think it's sweet that he wants to surprise her with something she's going to be really excited about.
I wouldn't be upset if H did that to me, because I trust that he would never maliciously delete a text from my phone.
wanderingenough I think the intent is cute, but I'd be ticked if my H deleted my text message. We never look at each other's phones unless we are driving or he has something funny to show me!
I have today off! And I of course, got my period last night so I am miserable with cramps But I'm trying to be slightly productive along with lots of relaxing since I've worked a lot! We hosted thanksgiving last night with my FIL and it was very nice.
I have a delicious winter scent in my wax melt and I'm cozy on my couch with some coffee and the in decorated tree lit (it's being decorated this evening)!
H was suppose to work today but now isn't. I need to decorate my sugar cookies and write a plan for next Saturday. Since we aren't home for Christmas we are having family Christmas next Saturday then that evening having a get together with friends.
My husband is still alive. That is my accomplishment for the day. Meanwhile, however, he thinks he is dying of terrible sickness he refuses all medicine for. He may not see tomorrow if he doesn't man up.
H's holiday work party was last night downtown. ILs donated us hotel points so we got a free room to stay downtown. H is working for another hour so I'm killing time.
The holiday party was fun, even without knowing anyone other than H. He and the other paralegals who showed all grabbed a table and we sat and chilled and ate instead of mingling. All they lawyers and "adults" referred to us as the kids table lol. I did feel old because at 30, only H (31) and the brother of another dude (32) were older than me. Everyone else was like 24-26 lol. Oh and in addition to the free food and booze, H now has an extra half day of pto to use next year. Plus when we left his work to go to the party, the owner gave him $20 for cab and coffee to get to the office today. Lol we used half of it for a cab ride to the party so I didn't have to walk I. The gold heels. H just texted me now that big boss handed him $50 today for coming in (on top of time and a half for today). Big boss also asked him to work tomorrow as well so I told H he better!

My rule for H is that he doesn't get any sympathy if it isn't bad enough that he's willing to take medicine for it. Every time he decides to ignore my advice and just site on the couch and whine about feeling awful, I remind him of my rule. lol.

100% this! H says he feels crappy, I tell him to take something, then complain if he still feels terrible, lol.
luv2rn4fun The boys are doing good. Some days bedtime goes smoothly and other days it's a total shit show. My L definitely gets grumpy in the evening and cluster feeds. He might be a bit colicky but still nothing compared to the scream-fests that W had for 6 hours every night.

Sounds like our boys are very similar. C was as bad as it gets and L is on the harder side but not as bad as C (might have colic). Glad things are going well! L IS already 10 weeks old...cant believe how fast it is going. Your L (and W) is adorable- love seeing the pictures on FB!
