1. Complete my BSBA. - Done! (in five days) 2. Earn a promotion. - Done! 3. Finish C25K and then run a 5k. - Not even close, though I did start doing archery and yoga this year. 4. Gain 5-10 lbs and maintain a healthy weight. - I think I lost weight this year. :/ 5. Find a new church to start attending (semi-)regularly. - No, though I have researched a few.
1. Take a super-fun 10th anniversary trip (right now we are leaning toward Scotland).
Update: Accomplished, but not as fancy as Scotland. We went to Marco Island and had a gorgeous ocean view room and did a boating tour where dolphins were like two feet away from us. I love dolphins and I was over the moon.
2. Impress my new director at work (the person isn't hired yet. Hopefully I like him/her.) Update: Accomplished
3. Keep the house clean so we are not mortified if a neighbor stops by. Update: FAIL
4. Have monthly date nights. Update: FAIL 5. Start college fund and make up for the year we lost. Update: We recently started one, but we didn't fully make up for the past year. We are on track to have at least half his college saved in cash by the time he's 18, and I'm good with that.
6. Save up DP so we can buy a house in 2017. Update: Accomplished--we actually bought this year.
7. Decide by end of year if we want to try for a second kid. Update: Accomplished--we do. Our first two IF treatments were unsuccessful and then H was laid off, so we will restart them when he is employed again.
1. Get pregnant (trying since 2013); focus on health while TTC this year. I gained weight because I was all "whatever, if I get pg it doesn't matter". Except I didn't and now I'm about 20 pounds heavier. I think I am going to join WW this weekend. I started prioritizing mental health a few months ago, now I want to add in eating better and moving more. Currently 23+5 weeks pregnant In Jan, I joined WW and lost 20 pounds. Of course, that came back with fertility drugs and treatments, but I did lose weight with WW. 2. Continue paying off my student loans. We've knocked 3 of the smaller ones out in 2015, but continue plugging away. We paid off one more loan, and have knocked two more down to $200ish each! Still more to go after that, but I am expecting student loan forgiveness for most of my remaining after two more school years. 3. Pay cash for the endorsement (I get tuition reimbursement for full amount, but want to pay cash up front rather than cc).Have done this! Final endorsement (ESL) will be done in March! Then I'm completely maxed out on payscale too! 4. Start decorating the house. We've done minimal decorating, but have asked for holiday decorations for Christmas, and will continue working towards this next summer. 5. Cut down on soda.I'm down to half a can to one full can a day. I'd call this a success, seeing where I was when I made this goal. 6. Take and enjoy our vacation.Vacation was wonderful!!!!
Wow, I can read just how exhausted I was with a newborn....
1. Start savings plan for DD - Done! 529 was created as soon as I got her SSN.
2. Start PP exercise program and lose remaining baby weight Done....sorta. I did this rather quickly...then promptly put on 12 lbs within the first 3 months of being back at work. I guess I wasn't pumping any longer and bouncing a colicky baby. I also don't think that I was a smart eater being that I was sleep deprived and back at work too. Have to be smarter this round.
3. Initiate sex with DH weekly - Womp womp. Maybe every two weeks instead? So, just off by a little. It's gotten much better though in the last few months.
4. Get some sort of schedule with DD. Save the LOL's as I am aware this can be difficult depending on the degree of said schedule. I learned a lot about myself as a Mom this year and my parenting style. I didn't accomplish this the way I thought I HAD to when I was reading the message boards. It took a lot of pressure off of me as a Mom when I accepted this. I'll say I got a system to HELP with the unexpected.
5. Be kinder to myself and others...especially in this new role! Done. It took a while...but done.
1. Move- done 2. Start running again- I did great at the beginning of the year and then got pregnant (not allowed to run). Trying to start again. 3. Continue working on a routine/schedule with C, including activities/play dates- did great until L was born. Still finding our new normal, although we do have a decent routine going. 4. Have more "me time"/balance- LOL not at all 5. Get pregnant (or try and hope/pray God says yes)- done...and has a baby 6. Be more intentional with in our marriage and connecting with DH- always a work in progress but I would say I did a good job of this this year.
ETA:
7. Get a haircut- done (twice) 8. Go to the dentist- done. Need to go again. 9. Organize our pictures (back them up)- done 10. Finish C's baby book (as much as possible)- made a lot of progress. Need to do a little more and it will be up to date. Even have a good start on L's book.
Looks like my focus for 2017 will be: - getting back to activities with the boys (MOPS, my gym, story time) - more "me time" - running
The year went in a very different way then expected.
Overall good. We have more debt but more projects done. Mentally I'm in a much better place even with a newborn. Didn't accomplish a lot of the goals but that's okay.

1. Have wills written for H and I. As part of that, finally make a decision on a guardian for R if something happened to the two of us. -This is half complete and I feel like I get a pass. We added the legal benefit at work, which will give us access to lawyers to write the wills and guardianship paperwork. We also chose who would be R's guardians. We just haven't called the lawyer because we recently moved and there was no point in having wills written in a state we weren't going to live in. So the actual writing of the wills will roll over to 2017.
2. Keep up with fitness goals & lose 10-15lbs -So I read this and thought to myself "womp womp," because I felt look I failed this one since my weight has held steady for a couple months now. HOWEVER, I went to my online tracking and checked my weight for the beginning of Jan and I am down 17lbs! Success!
3. Broaden work responsibilities and polish resume Success! Resume is up to date, work is busy, and responsibilities are constantly being added to.
4. Take R to meet my grandparents Done and I'm so glad, since my grandpa passed away this year. I'll carry this goal over since my grandma is constantly asking when she will "see (her) baby" next.
5. Be more diligent about calling/facetiming family Ehh, my mom and I talk every day but I've slacked with everyone else.

1. Be better at managing our finances Done-ish 2. Get back into a regular training cycle after baby Fail...miserably 3. Keep in better contact with my friends Done
1. Have a baby - done! Thankful I got pregnant within 2 months of that post so only 9 months total.
2. Lose weight - I actually lost 28 lb prior to getting pregnant so I did accomplish this. I lost weight after giving birth but I think it was because I was on a diuretic and when I stopped it, I gained the water weight back. I'm less than 7 weeks PP so I'm not going to be hard on myself yet but will definitely still have the same goal for next year.
