i had all the diapers lined up, stuffed, and ready to go. i even picked all the cutest ones i thought she'd like best to get her on board, and left those out for her. nope. she didn't use them.
she told me she "forgot". she picks up DD from my house in the morning (we let her sleep in after i leave for work). when i picked up DD from MIL's house in the afternoon, i notice she's wearing a CD, and i ask MIL how'd it go, if it was easy, did she like it, etc etc....and she said she forgot to use them (she has a stash of sposies at her house). i said "ohhhhh....where are the rest of them?" and she said she left them at my house.....which is strange, because dd is WEARING one. MIL didn't forget, she just chose not to bring them......
but oh well. she just wants to finish up the sposies. i told her i was going to give them to my cousin, who is having her baby this month, but MIL doesn't want to share........oh well. less laundry. one step at a time.

Geesh, sorry you're having a tough time getting her on board.
How is cding going for you at home? We had our first day yesterday, it went pretty well I thought. No leaks or blowouts. We haven't made the switch at daycare yet, I want to try a few more of the brands in my stash to make sure they all work well before I start sending them to dc.
it's going really well for us. our first day was thursday afternoon, and i personally have not had any issues. scraping poo was not fun, but doable. i'm not really squeamish about these kinda things though. it could definitely be bad for someone who is.
when i called MIL today to see how DD was doing, she said that her PJ's were wet this morning, and she forgot to check the bed, but she says the diaper leaked...she didn't leak sat/sun morning, though....and i didn't notice any wetness over night (we eat every 2 hours)....i think she's craycray..but oh well
oh and i don't have a wetbag yet, so i was just using a plastic grocery bag..and h was embarrassed by it....which is code for i'm allowed to spend more money buying wetbag/morediapers, right?

It looks like the co-op will be doing wetbags soon. I'm in the market for more, too.

what brand/company/group is doing the co-op? how much, what size, and prints?
a friend of mine found an alva co-op for the large ones jus t under $5, so i ordered 2 from there.
and back to original topic..today is day 5, and MIL still "forgets" every day... oh well. she'll have to remember when she runs out of sposies at home.
yes, less laundry for me! the other thing is my MIL is very OCD, and she doesn't like dirty things, so as soon as she is done with a CD, she says she washes it in hot water, by hand...i told her to not, and just throw it in a bag (no wet bags yet), but she can't. she washes it in hot water (bc i told her not to use soap).
my MIL also does my dishes at 4:30 in the morning bc she can't stand the sight of dishes in the sink. i used to feel bad and wash the night before, now i just leave them for when she comes over.
today, supposed to be day 6, MIL told me she was going to bring an unopened package of disposables to her house because she was running out... she doesn't "get" it that i'm going to give them to my cousin, who had a baby yesterday. she said "but the baby won't fit in them"........they're size 2. baby will fit in them eventually.
success, finally! i packed the diapers for her, put them on her things, and gave her a wetbag to put dirty dipes in. she's still OCD and rinses out the diapers before she puts them in, she doesn't get it that i'll wash them anyways, but oh well. nothing to complain about having pre-rinsed dipes!
oh! and i gave away all the disposables from my house, so she doesn't have access to them anymore. i officially don't have disposables that she can get to! (i still have more in the garage stored as gifts for when my cousins' baby gets older, but she doesn't know it's there....)

:Y: Yay!!
I wouldn't fight her rinsing them, it's less work for you ;D
