Any issues or vents? Getting over a stomach bug. This week is booked solid. December is always crazy around here.
Any highlights or AW's? I ran DD's GOTR 5k with her. She vocalized all the things that usually go through your head during a 5k. So funny. My favorites were: "That boy IS NOT going to catch me."; "Mom slow down I can't keep up",Me: "I'm BEHIND you."; "I'm walking. I'm walking!" (she never walked). I felt bad that she didn't have more fun DURING the race, but I can't exactly say I find much fun while I'm racing a 5k either. She is a little too competitive to have fun during a race. She loved GOTR though and they were a great team. They all ran in together as a team with the last finisher from their group. It was really sweet.

Any issues or vents? Just my ongoing mental sparring about my ability to actually do this thing. So, nothing new.
Any highlights or AW's? I ran 6 miles last weekend. Ok, so it was actually 1 and then 5 when H called me frantically that we had a meeting in 45 minutes while I was on the treadmill. I'd still never run 5 before, so I call it a win.

Any issues or vents? Just need more time in the day. I have a lot of fun things going on this week and I'm trying to squeeze everything in. Also, I really wish I could work from home more than one day a week. I keep hearing that it is coming, but nobody knows when that is happening.
Any highlights or AW's? I'm finding my happy place. My knee is feeling better and better for my runs. I'm picking up the pace. I'm a week or so away from doing away with walking breaks then increasing my mileage.
I made a plan for half training that will allow me 1) get the necessary mileage to run a half 2) keep up with biking and swimming. I'll be able to push myself by bringing in cross training and still get the miles I need to complete my half. I feel good about it. But I may post it here for some feedback.
Also, I found the tri I want to do next June. I'll probably do a separate post about that.
Mon- rest Tue- working out with a trainer, he wanted to give a free session Wed- rest Thur- weights + gym cardio Fri- yoga hopefully mountain bike ride both weekend days and one gym visit for strength
Issues- ankle still preventing running
AWs- difficult ride last sunday with a group, despite kind of wanting to cry from tired legs and Terror (very many rocks) I kept it together and feel like I did well
What are you training for? Date? Polarnight Haalf Marathon Tromso, Norway, January 7th
Work outs for the week? Plenty - continuing the streak. Mixes of running, swimming, cycling.
Any issues or vents? Yes, I feel like crap today. Sore throat and cough. I'll be alright tomorrow hopefully.
Any highlights or AW's? I ran a 5K race in Paris on the weekend and won!! It was a VERY small race and there were no medals or anything but it was fun.
What are you training for? Date? half relay on Sunday
Work outs for the week? Sun - 1 Mon - 1 Today - rest Wed - not sure Thurs - 2 Fri - rest Sat - 2
Any issues or vents? I think I'm abandoning my run streak. I debated it all weekend but still kept it up with the minimum one mile, then last night my legs were so dead and I decided I probably should stop.
Any highlights or AW's? My bf assembled our rowing machine last night so that is a highlight. I'm contemplating keeping the streak going with rowing but I'm also feeling rundown today so I think I'm due for an actual rest day.

Work outs for the week? M: Core T: 6 mi tempo W: some kind of XT R: 5 mi w/ intervals F: XT? S: rest Su: 13 mi (Mississippi Coast HM)
Any issues or vents? I'm over running. Next week is peak mileage week. Just gotta make it through. And, as always, doubting my ability to run race pace for 13.1 miles 6 weeks from now.
Any highlights or AW's? My tempo miles in Saturday's long run were 30-45 seconds faster than the low end my plan calls for. Thank you cool weather and low humidity.
Any issues or vents? Nothing workout related. Well, sort of since workout is a part of my life. Dealing with H, kids, the house, juggling life. Things are coming up and I don't know how to deal with it.
