Tomorrow is DH's birthday. I'm making him a birthday cake but he has to wait until our Christmas party Saturday night to eat it. Poor guy lol. A group of good friends are coming for our party so he is ok with waiting.
My mom has been so helpful the last month. Today she bought us some groceries and stuff for Saturday since funds are tight. I didn't ask, she "just needed to stop at the grocery store." I'm going to try and coupon for everything else we need, which isn't much. Luckily DH gets paid Friday so I can get a few things and we are getting a nice check next week which will help with vacation/family reunion. We need a break so that's the only reason we didn't cancel. Plus there is a full kitchen so we can cook. I think the plan is to cook breakfast and dinner as a family. Lunch we are on our own. We are bringing a crockpot, pressure cooker, coffee maker and stopping at the grocery store right outside of Key West. His parents paid for the condo we all are staying in. I'm so excited to meet his cousins, relax, drink, play with our nieces and just let loose. His poor family lol. On the way we are stopping at a few wineries in Virginia so we will have lots of wine, plus we are planning a day in St. Augustine so we will have to go to one of the best wineries ever and pick up a case.
ewall it's actually going to be an ice cream cake. Yellow cake with a layer or 2 of ice cream, frosted with fresh whipped cream.
I also should be working out but sitting at my makeup desk painting my nails.
Lmao! I'm trying to decide what makeup to bring. H tried to help!?! He thinks 1 Ipsy sized makeup bag is enough. Ummm no. #1 we aren't flying so no luggage fees. We are driving my RAV4. #2 just no. Makeup makes me happy so let me enjoy it. I'm not going to bring every lipstick or eye shadow palette. Just enough to feel pretty and change it up once in a while.
I haaaaaaate snow. Maybe I won't hate it so much now that I don't have to leave my house to go to work, but I live in an area that has no idea how to deal with snow. If we get half an inch of snow, everything just shuts down and nothing can function until it's gone.
It snowed here today too. It's mostly just cold and windy though!
It's official - we're planning a trip with my parents and sister in a month to go to Disneyland! I'm super excited because I haven't been there in a long time, plus H and E have both never been there (H went to Disney World with us though in 2014). Can't wait!
katespade I love snow the days I don't have to leave the house. I don't mind driving in it but prefer not to. I do need to take my car out in it to see how it handles. Last winter it barely snowed. I never had a 4 wheel drive vehicle so I have no clue how it handles. It snows here a lot and people still have no clue how to drive in it.
No snow here today, but we got over an inch on Sunday. It's now melting so our backyard is a muddy mess, which means the pups are tracking muddy pawprints all over the kitchen dining area.
We've had little bits of snow here twice this year. grover, I hate having to wipe the pup's feet every time he comes inside. (I do it all year round really though, any time it rains or snows or the ground is just wet.)
I got some prescription strength meds for my reflux today so hopefully they kick in quickly and I sleep better tonight.
I'm really getting tired of this insomnia. This is night 3 that I am wide awake. Nothing helps. I tried trazadone, which my doctor prescribed for this, o.t.c meds and vitamins, meditation, even a glass of wine and nothing is helping. All I want to do is sleep
estrellita- Disneyland, as in CA!?! We are going today for the first time (well, C and L first time...we had passes many years growing up and college years) and getting passes for my step mom and me! Our new house is within 30 min. Have fun planning your trip!
luv2rn4fun yes! I haven't been since I think 2009? I'd have to look back at pictures but it was some time in college. H's aunt and uncle live in LA so we might try to see them too!

I'm jealous luv2rn4fun and estrellita! I actually looked up Disneyworld tickets the other day because I thought it would be a fun day trip now that we are not too far away and it's decorated for Christmas. Even with the FL resident rates, it wasn't in the budget this close to the holidays! Wanna adopt Famwandering and take us with y'all?

We wouldn't be going if it weren't for my parents, lol. It is super expensive! My cousin "lives" in FL (she's a flight attendant so that's where she is most when she's not working or traveling) and has an annual pass, which would be awesome if you were close enough and had the time to go that much!

We would not be going if it weren't for my parents. The season pass is for my birthday and Christmas. My step mom got a pass too so we can take the boys about once a month. The cheapest pass was $329 each.l
