We were at DW Nov 12-20. We stayed at OKW in a 2 bedroom. The party was DH, me, my ILs, DD who is 4.5 and DS who was 15 months.
Small overview:
The good: We had great weather. It didn't rain once and was only hot one day. The crowds were not bad at all. We always got a FP after our first 3, sometimes multiple extra ones. We only waited over 10- 15 minutes for 2 meet and greets (Rapunzel and Ariel). I was impressed with the food, overall we enjoyed everywhere we ate. All cast members we encounter d were friendly and helpful. The busses were good all except 2 times. We waited an hour for magical express and then 30 minutes one morning for MK. Other than that we waited under 15 minutes.
The bad: DS came down with a stomach bug bug on Wednesday and DD got it hours before we got on the airplane to go home. DD got ran over by my MILs electric scooter and ended up at first aid. We thought she might have broke up but thank goodness it ended up just swollen, bruised, and bad road rash. Their first aid was so nice and fixed her right up!
Day 1:MK. This was a Sunday and the highest crowds by far. We FPd Peter Pan, did carousel, saw Ariel, rode tea cups, FPd SDMT, ate lunch at Pinocchio village, FPd Ariels grotto. We were able to add 3 more FPs that day but I forget them all, I know it's a small world was one. We also saw Mickeys Phil after the parade. Both kids loved the parade! DD was unsure on SDMT, she said she liked it but wouldn't ride again. Her favorite ride that day was tea cups. We ended the day riding Peoplemover.
Day 2: Epcot We FP+d Spaceship earth and then headed over to the seas area where we road the nemo ride (I was unimpressed with it) and looked at the aquarium and did turtle talk with crush. We then FPd Soarin' with rider swap so everyone could ride, DD HATED it and was absolutely terrified which I did not see coming. I felt awful. She cried half the way to lunch at Biergarten which was fun but I thought overpriced. World showcase was packed (last day of food and wine) so we grabbed a margarita, rode the Donald Duck ride and left that area. We walked in the Disney credit card meet and greet. We ended the day at Test Track with a FP. Both kids favorite ride today was the Donald Duck one. All the adults loved Soarin'!
How did you like OKW? Who did you rent through? When we do our trip (not until January 2018) my dad and step mom are probably going as well, so I'd like to share a suite with them. I would like BLT, but I would also like to save money. There will be 7 total, 4 adults and 3 kids.

We liked it! I rented from DVC Rental Store. The unit was really large. The grounds were pretty and while we never swam due to my DD's injury the pool areas looked really nice. The room could have been a bit cleaner but it wasn't bad. I was worried about the buses, but I requested a room near turtle pond to be right in the middle of the route and it never seemed to take long to get places. I would stay there again if we ever wanted a 2 bedroom in the future.
Day 3: Animal Kingdom This ended up being my second favorite park to take young kids to (behind MK). I really liked it too due to the safari, Everest and the shows. We started off the day soon with a FP for the safari, we all enjoyed it and the animals were active. We watched some street performers while we waited for our Tusker House reservation for a late breakfast. I thought the food was good, DD ate 4 Mickey waffles so she must have loved them! After that was the scooter incident. They were in the FP line for The Lion King show when somehow DD's ankle got ran over by the scooter wheel. We hauled her to the first aid when they cleaned and bandaged it and gave us a few days supply of bandaids to take with us, guessed it wasn't broken, and gave us a new FP for a later show! We went straight back and saw the next lion king. Everyone liked it, even DS. We walked the animal trail near there, FP Kali RR, FP Everest then had some ice cream and drinks. We got a FP to the Nemo show for later so spent awhile at the Boneyard letting the kids play and riding the dinosaur spin ride before watching that show. Dinosaur was closed which bummed me out so we watched the tree lighting and went home. The tree of life "show" was pretty lame, and we probably wouldn't stay for it again. Most all rides were walk on this day when we got to them, except Everest where we waited 15 minutes.
Day 4: This day started at midnight when DS woke up sick and he continued to be awake and sick until 8am when he finally fell back to sleep and slept basically all day It was supposed to be a pool day but DDs ankle hurt too much in water to swim so I sent everyone to Disney Springs while I stayed back with DS. I know they went to Goofys candy shop, build a Dino, and the Lego Store. We had a dinner at Akerhaus that evening for DD so my husband and DS stayed behind and the rest of us went to Epcot for the evening. We FP Mickey and friends, saw Anna and Elsa, FP the frozen ride, and had dinner. Dinner was expensive but DD LOVED it and the food was good. DD hated the drop in the frozen ride, if you can't tell lol, and it was not anywhere near her favorite ride.
Day 5: MK again! Today was the day MK closed at 4:30 so we planned a short day. The crowds were so low in the morning that I ended up dropping our first 3 FP (pirates, jungle cruise, splash) and booked 3 different ones for the afternoon. We walked on jungle cruise, pirates, splash, and country bear sing along? I can't remember it's name. We watched the pirates show then let DS play at the playground near splash mt while the ILs took DD on the train around the park. After that DD rode tea cups twice while the ILs road haunted mansion, we had FP for me and my husband on our date night later so we didn't ride it. We have lunch at BOG, my sandwich was awesome and the kids meals looked good. We then FP Winnie and Tomorrowland speedway. DD proceeded to throw the most epic tantrum including running away from us through the crowd that we road buzz light year and headed back. Somehow we never road Dumbo while there! We also didn't get to do Monsters or enchanted tales with belle. Oh sometime during that day we also saw all the princesses at fairytale hall, DD loves Elena!
Day 6: Hollywood Studios I don't know if we were just tired at this point but nobody seemed to really enjoy HS. It wasn't that busy for ride wait times but it felt so crowded walking around. We saw Olaf which was a big hit then road Toy Story MM (I loved it!). I took the kids to frozen while the other adults road Star Wars. We then saw the Muppets show and ate at the newly opened pizza place, can't remember its name. We FP Disney Jr live on stage and saw all the characters, FP the great movie ride, and I watched the kids play while the other adults went to Indiana Jones. HS is in desperate need of a kids play area, they just ran around by the pond area. We stayed for the night Christmas fireworks which were fine but nothing special.
I'm really glad we got memory maker. I was so busy with the kids that I only took a few photos each day so I'm glad we had other people taking some!
Day 7: we went to Disney Springs in the morning and just walked around. Tonight was our date night!! We had reservations at Epcot (it was a place in Morocco but I can't remember which one). We ate there and it was really good and then tried a crepe on the way to MK (it was not good, sad). We also road Soarin again and tried out figment. Once at MK we FP SDMT which was awesome at night and FP Haunted Mansion. BTMR just opened up that day so there were no FPs, so we stood in the 40ish minute wait to ride that. We ended the night watching the fireworks which I LOVED!
We left the next day with a sick DD, I was so glad to be home. We had a good time but the sickness, and associated kids being awake ALL night, made us so exhausted.
We didn't walk nearly as much at Disney as I thought we would. Me feet were never tired and no one got blisters or anything.
Thanks for the recap! Looks like a great time! My feet never felt that tired either which shocked me. I wore some sketchers memory foam sneakers and I think those really helped.
