Yeah on some level I feel bad, but it was not a good product.
Me too, kind of. But it's business. It's not like we didnt complain. We were very vocal about the issues, both before and after the conversion. The nest choose not to listen. Or maybe they under-estimated us. Either way, they had plenty of warning before they drove off 5000 members. It's their problem, not ours.
That said, they do "win" if we go back, so I vote we all stay here.

Yeah, well how's this for fascinating....I hadn't bookmarked this forum yet so I went to TN to grab the link...and our board has ZERO threads!! When i went to check my account to look at posts I had done, last time I posted was theoretically March 1st.
So....I vastly prefer this board! 1-we can have a real mod with the power of stickies! 2-they lost my loyalty (such little as it was) with the absolute BS of the past two months. Oh, and BUmp Kathleen ignoring Amandasw posts (and ours) about removing duplicate old stickies. 3-THIS page loads crazy fast, has this nice and easy "quick reply" box, and isn't completely cluttered with a zillion things I don't care about like auto-loading videos that kill my browser at work.
The only thing that will be a little sad is the ability to infuse fresh new people as easily.
NM, went to MM to read the note from Knot Michelle. "This week, we received several e-mails from The Nest and The Bump members with concerns and feedback about the new board format. We greatly respect our community members opinions and feedback so at your request we have decided to go back to the old message board format."
This week? HAH!!! We've been complaining for more than a MONTH! Asswipes. And yeah, I was just able to type ASS. :Y: ;D
i feel hella bad.. i think i'll venture back. people are posting but the seattle board is empty. it was our home for a long time. i don't think we should give up on it.. but now i feel bad about proboards.. i wonder if people will just go back...

Only about 1/2 the boards are back to the old format for me.
I have no desire to go back.
As much as Nest Michelle and others apologize for the actions, they keep mentioning how much they respond to posters comments and concerns which was obviously not the case.

what they *are* concerned about is their loss of clicks. did you see the graph that somebody pulled up?

They can take their clicks and stuff it. We asked repeatedly for help and ease of use on their boards, and got nothing. If they didn't want to maintain them to the members standards, they should have gotten rid of them. I could care less about their future.
And FWIW in full disclosure - As the post #'s revealed during the transition - I have been around TK since 2003 and faded off when I got divorced, then came back when I got remarried and transitioned to TN, not my first rodeo with them not listening to users suggestions/ideas. I was just a bit more invested this time.

They only had a couple of boards. There wasn't separate TK/TN/TB. They were more just Q&A board about weddings. Nothing like they were before the collapse.
so archaic! haha. somebody once posted a "snapshot" of what theknot.com looked like in 1994...and there was this slogan on there that said "plan your day the cyber way!"
