What are you baking this year?
I generally do 6 types of cookies, I have a few I always do plus I like to try one new recipe a year. I have 5, I can't decide what my new one should be.
What I'm making:
Polish cookies - peanut butter and prune butter filling Linzer tarts Mint chocolate tree & candy cane cut outs Cherry chocolate cordials Cornflake wreaths (actually DH will make these, it's his family's recipe)
I may do rum balls as a 6th instead of something new.
I'm also going to make something for the bake-off at DH's work, I think I'm going to go with something easy but delicious and do peanut butter pie.
Oh, and I think I'm going to make black forest brownie pie for Christmas Day
However, I am doing a huge cookie exchange with my coworkers, so in exchange for buttercrunch I will be getting a 1/2 dozen of 10-12 different kinds of cookies. We do this every year and I LOVE it!
So far I have some pumpkin oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I need to make brownies for our family holiday get together on Sunday. Not sure what else I will make, probably Christmas peppermint chocolate chip cookies and maybe some sugar cookies or gingerbread cookies.
This reminds me...i need to start researching for C's bday cake for his party next Sat.
I want to make spritz cookies so I can use the cookie press someone gave us. I'm going to make bagels, muffins, or something for Christmas morning since I know MIL traditionally has those & I'm GF/DF. DH does the cookie exchange at his work and is planning to make two types of "Oreo" cookie balls. One traditional & one GF/DF version.
Plan is peanut butter balls (aka buckeyes). Firecracker cookies (sugarish cookies with mnms and sprinkles). Maybe the annoying iced sugar cookies, since my supervisor has requested them but those are super time consuming.
I always make cranberry pistachio biscotti w/white chocolate drizzle. I give them as gifts.
I will also be making cranberry pecan cookies and chocolate chip pretzel cookies. And I am making a death by chocolate trifle (brownies, chocolate pudding, whipped cream and heath bars).
Mmmm... biscotti. I might have to make some. I'm currently trying to figure out a few cookie recipes to bring to Florida. I know FIL will love if I brought some.
