Need casual shoe recs

I don't normally go here, but I need some pointing in the right direction.  I need some casual shoes to wear to the office on Fridays w/ jeans during the winter.  During the summer, I will wear canvas flats, a la Toms, but I need something that I can wear socks with because my office is freezing and, well, it's winter.  I'm just not sure what is in style along these lines nowadays.  I will generally wear casual button up shirts, sweaters, or sweatshirts/half-zips without large logos on the front.  I definitely want to avoid tennis shoes/Chuck Taylors if at all possible.

I'm always appx 3 years behind on trends, so ankle boots/booties currently seem too cool for me, esp. since I'm still not on the skinny jean wagon. However, those petty booties are super cute, and flat, so that may be the direction to go. Thx.

I was also going to suggest the Sam Edelman Petty.

My winter "ballet" shoe is a pair of Keds by Kate Spade. I get a ton of compliments on them.
