YEAH!! I mostly lurk, but have been pulling for your forever. If I had someone question me for ONE hour of depo prep pre-depo and other constant non-sense, I'd of lost my shit long ago. Congrats to you!

I don't post much either, but I've been following your work situation since TB, and am about as happy for you as I'd be if I could find a job myself! Congratulations!
OMG, I love y'all so much. I'm about to go talk to a friend in D.C. about some stuff, and then I have to go home and have a long conversation with H. I know he doesn't want to move, and I know he really doesn't want to live apart until next summer, so this should be interesting.

Oh hooray!! I'm so thrilled for you.
Does your job pay out for sick/vacation? Feds, for example, will pay you out accrued annual (vacation) time but not sick -- if that was your situation, I would take every day from now until you start your new job as sick leave, then quit.
Normally I would not advocate quitting with no notice, but based on the stories you have told about that place, I think its justified. Also, I worry that they would either show you the door on the day you gave notice (with no pay for the notice period) or make your life a living hell for those two weeks. This avoids all that -- win win!
Congrats! I think that is really awesome! I'm hoping to move out of my room situation by the end of the month, so if you ate interested, I can see if my landlady wants another tenant. I'm in a pretty nice place, cheap, and my biggest complaint is that I have to take a bus to the metro because it's like a mile away (but you may not even be using the metro). Let me know if you might be interested.
