I've been busy getting everything ready for tomorrow. Now I'm pooped out. I'm finally sitting, enjoying a beer. I should probably get up and do some more but I'm comfy.
I'm tired but have some things to get done tonight. I'm going to pre-make the meat and veggies for the stuffing. If I cook it in the morning, have it in a cold car for a few hours, then warm it up in the crock pot when we get there, will that work? Maybe I can put aside a little broth so it doesn't dry out too much?
estrellita - How long does it take to cook? Would it be possible to just wait and cook it when you get there? I would worry about the hot to cold to hot again, but I also have food issues so that might be way overcautious.

The recipe I have cooks on low in the crock pot for 4 hours. Should have been more specific, cooking the meat tonight, then putting it all together in the morning in the crock pot. Hmm. Wonder if we can go over to their place earlier and let it cook while we're at the event at my work? Ugh why did H agree to making stuffing? Lol
@emtmissy, I can't believe how much you've been getting done while not working. When I have time off like that I am way too lazy.
estrellita- how cold is it outside when your leaving it in the car?
Yesterday I emptied out one of our deep freezers yesterday and unplugged it. So today I went to clean it out, I needed some hot water to place inside it to help defrost it as the freezer is outside with below freezing temps. It was all going well until I accidentally knocked over one of the pots and splashed my right hand. I have first degree burns to about half of my hand.
awick14 cold! High of 11 tomorrow, lol. I think we're going to see if we can drop it off earlier so we don't have to worry about it!
That is cold, with that though I wouldn't be worried about the food in the car if that's what you have to do, no risk of food poisoning or anything. (Other then it may start to freeze and may take longer to reheat.) lol
This household has the crud....everyone. We are dealing with that. Husband has a show tomorrow that L and I will miss. We were supposed to see Santa on Sunday, but that might not happen
DH has his work Christmas party tonight. Both boys are in bed and I am going to sleep soon too. It has been a long day.
The next few weeks are very busy. I have family Christmas Sunday (after church), going to Disneyland again on weds (we convinced my dad he needs a pass and he wants to go before Christmas is over and we are blocked out after 12/15), C's party next Sat (need to clean, shop, order came, and cook), and my stepdad and his family visiting on Sunday.
The following week is taking C to the zoo for his bday and then Christmas. DH is also off for a good 6 days. Oh, and my dad's cousin will be visiting after Christmas and wants to see the boys. And then I think we are planning to do Disney again 1/4 when we are no longer blocked. All great things and I am excited, but also a little anxious since I am barely getting any sleep these days.
amaranth- I treated it myself. If it would have been worse I would have went in. It thankfully doesn't hurt as much anymore, as long as I don't touch the back of my hand or wrist. 😞 It's a little swollen and red still. I guess I won't get any IVs in the back of my right hand if I need an IV during labour. (Not that they usually go for your dominate hand anyways.)
