Monday Randoms

I always forget how expensive it is to ship stuff. Even using a flat rate box, I paid almost as much as I spent on my gift to ship it!

That's one reason I don't mail things often, haha.

It's snowing. Blah. It was a little bit slick this morning and it's FREEZING so it's probably going to take me a while to get home tonight. Salt probably isn't working at this temp. Oh well, I'd rather it take an hour to get home safely than the alternative!

That always happens to me too. Last year I decided to mail gifts to almost all my friends randomly. One package had like a $3 bag of chocolate but cost $7 to mail. I spent almost $200 in postage at one time. It was brutal.

Nothing too interesting to report here, but it has been such a nice, peaceful day

so sick and tired of being sick! I was at my PCP again this morning, really for a UTI, but also because I can't get rid of this sinus infection! she put me on an antibiotic that I know will kill the UTI and she said it's usually good for upper respiratory stuff too. fingers crossed! I've been doing saline rinses and antihistamines and decongestants, and just blah. I also saw my audiologist so he could turn up the volume on my hearing aid because the highest setting has NOT been cutting it!

on the plus side, I spent way too much money on new Christmas decorations because a) I don't want to get EVERYTHING down and b) I am changing my look just a tad. I also needed a bunch of toddler friendly decor too--smaller tree, shatterproof ornaments hung with ribbon, stuff like that.

Well ended up leaving work early. DC called and E has a fever. Roads were ok, made it home safe. Now we're hanging out watching TV!

I FINALLY got to do my Christmas cards today. Such an amazing deal at Sams! 50 phot cards plus envelopes for 15 dollars! 7 will mail them out on Thursday, along with my SS gift if the last part arrives by then!

I went bra shopping since VS was having killer deals. I have gone up a whole cup size. Yikes! So happy to finally have some bras that fit!

I have decided to audition for my community theatre in January. I an getting excited!

travelbug we got our cards from Sam's last year.. they are so cheap, I love it! I'm too lazy to go across town to get them this year so we're going with Walgreen's this year. A little more expensive but worth driving a little past DC instead of all the way to the other side of town, haha. Just ordered them!

Today was a very lazy day, which was nice. I hope I sleep better tonight though. (I didn't sleep well last night at all, I was up for 4-5 hrs in the middle of the night.)
