I don't but my mom does. I would get a sleep splint and I've read that you should never ever go without shoes. Each time you're barefoot apparently re-injures the foot. Get a pair of supportive, slip on shoes that you can just wear around the house.

btw i was diagnosed about a year ago. Nothing was done.
Did you ask for any intervention? Rolling over frozen water bottle, calf stretch with towel around ball of foot, to crunches with your toes by crunching a towel or Picking up marbles, single leg standing balance activities, good supportive shoes. Sneakers whenever possible. Do the towel stretch thing before you stand up in the morning or after you e been sitting for a long time. Ice ice ice!

They are ridiculously expensive - and pretty ugly - but they have amazing arch support. They make shoes too but I have a high arch and they don't fit. I will say I have had mine for 2 1/2 years and they are still in great shape. And I wear them every day for hours.
You might be able to get a prescription for them. Ask your doc. And no slippers.
So what should I wear around the house? To work?
Something with good support. If you can't do sneakers at work the shoes PP suggested are good and if you have to walk at all for your commute wear sneakers for that. I hope it feels better soon. Plantar faciitis sucks.
A mixture of Physical Therapy (massage, ultrasound, stretching) and custom made orthotics were key in my recovery. Don't go barefoot, use an anti-anti-inflamitory to help with the swelling.

I just got another pair of the orthaheel shoes on shoes.com when there was a 20% off coupon code. So keep an eye out! Now I have orthopedic flip flops in black and brown. I feel special.
I do better with a shoe with a little bit of a heel, so long as that heel is a bit broader. not stilleto, but like a tall loafer, if that makes any sense.

I used to get it several times a year for months at a time... i eventually had a plantar fascia release surgery and have never had any other trouble. That was about 10 years ago....good luck.. its awfully annoying for sure
