Weekend randoms

Day 2 on the road. We hope to be at his parents by 5pm. We had a great time wine tasting yesterday. We bought lots of wine!

I'm at work, made it safely. Thankfully the roads were better than I thought they'd be so the drive wasn't too bad, but still not great. I'm hoping that's all the snow we'll get. It's supposed to be COLD tomorrow, I don't want to spend any time shoveling tomorrow if I can help it!

It is cold today and suppose to be the first day with a chance of snow. Hoping to get started wrapping some presents today. 

I failed at Christmas decorating this year. We have up our prelit tree with no other decorations and two taller decorations (a penguin and a reindeer) but that's it. I'm obsessed with Christmas count down things (I have 5!) and I haven't even got one out. Oh well. It's been crazy busy around here and just never got to it.

bk1- I haven't put up a single decoration this year. (We have 5 Rubbermaid buns of stuff too.) but with baby and living in the ILs basement I just don't feel like it.

Today we are going and grabbing the last of the large stuff from our house and bringing them to the ILs. (Well everything but my treadmill as we don't know where to put that yet, and I'm not allowed to really use it for a bit anyways.) Then once these things are moved we can start on the renos in our place. (Finally)

I don't have any decorations up either. Only my card line. Just wasn't a priority for my time.

I feel so dumb, I totally forgot about wrapping the gifts I bought. Guess I need to plan that sometime.

Two hours til C's bday party!! Everything is ready and it's been a good day so far! Excited to celebrate our little guy today!

We made it! I'm enjoying some wine by the pool while DH talks his parents ears off about his China trip lol. I may fall asleep in this chair, so relaxed.

I baked all day, I feel so old because my back is hurting me now.

I have to finish tomorrow, I have one dough that has to sit overnight and I went to make it last night and realized I didn't get the shortening for it. So instead of running out to the store last night, DH went this morning and I made the dough tonight and will bake tomorrow.

I've actually had a few good conversations with my MIL! Normally I get kinda ignored by her. FIL always have conversations with me, he likes to compare stories on jobs we recently have done. He is a volunteer firefighter here.

I told DH I want to have lunch with MIL while I'm Key West. I was thinking of asking SIL too and having a girls lunch with cocktails. DH is willing to give me money so I'm trying to find a nice place. Has anyone been there and have suggestions?

Someone with a snowblower cleared our driveway for us! So thankful!

I'm not sure if I have a stomach bug this weekend, or if it's just pregnancy being lovely.

Update: Pretty sure it was just PG being awesome.
This is the third time I have started eating something that was so yummy sounding, only to have it become "throw it all away now and I never want to see it again". The first time was home run inn sausage supreme pizza, then milk, and this time was red lobster cheddar bay biscuits.
I'm good to go with the pizza and the milk again. Not so sure I'll ever want to eat the biscuits ever again after this morning.

grover aww hope you feel better! I luckily never got sick but I had a major aversion to raw onions and still have a hard time eating them! E also doesn't really like them, haha.

estrellita, luckily as soon as I got sick I started feeling better. But man, was it disappointing to have a craving end up that way!

estrellita NOPE! I do feel weird wearing a tee shirt, capris and flip flop right now while on vacation.

We went to a distillery and winery today. It was nice! Tomorrow we are visiting a friend. H took me to Ulta today to get a gift for our niece. I ended up getting a 5 pack of Ulta lipstick, which I gave one to my MIL somehow I forgot lipstick, a set of false lashes and a sheet mask I'll be trying later. H was complaining since I told him I was going to be quick but this store was no where near set up like the one I got to regularly so it took a while. I did get a. Ice Ulta kit for our niece. She's only 11 so she doesn't need much but that's what her mom told us to get her. I need to go to a drug store tomorrow to get her a foundation and maybe some cheap nail polish.

I did laundry today. My least favorite part is putting the new sheets on it, though I love laying on the clean sheets once it's made. Who wants to come make the bed for me?
