If I'm on the dining plan can I order an adult meal for my three year old (and use a Quick Service credit) or do I have to order a Kids Meal for him?
Also what should I order for everyone? I was thinking the Braised Pork for me and the Roast Beef sandwich for DH. I figure Ethan will share the pork with me and Ben can get the grilled cheese? Although supposedly it's very small so I'm more inclined to get a Meatloaf for my one year old since he's the good eater and let Ben eat some French fries and a cupcake.
What do you like for lunch at BOG for yourself and kids?
We really enjoyed the turkey sandwich while we were there. I also loved the French onion soup and the masters cupcake. apparently the steak sandwich is now served cold.
I love the tuna nicoise salad. DH always gets the carved turkey sandwich and DD shares it with him. The portions are huge. I wasn't that impressed with the French onion soup.
We were there on Sunday for lunch -- make sure you order ahead of time. The people who didn't were waiting outside forever and ever....we just walked in.
I had the Croque Monsieur and DH had the roast beef sandwich - the latter didn't come with au jus and was a little dry. As far as Disney goes, they were actually okay. (I will do a trip report since we were in the parks for 7 days -- overall I think the food was terrible but BOG could have been worse and the air conditioning was so nice!)
We got two kids meals -- the grilled cheese came with a soup that our picky eater loved, and the other one got a deconstructed pasta with sauce and cheese....she was very happy as well. They shared a cupcake with the grey stuff, and all was right in the world.
We ate there last week. I'm glad we were on free dining because the food was total shit and I would have been pissed if I had paid real money for it.
Just sayin.
Oh boo. I'm on the dining plan but I head read the food was better than typical quick service. At least there's cupcakes?
I had the roast beef sandwich. I had to spit out multiple bites because of the horrible cuts of beef. The bread was stale and cold and there was no horseradish sauce on it at all, and the fries were cold. DH had the croque monsieur and it was so greasy he couldn't eat it. Will loves a good grilled cheese but he took one bite of it and declared it disgusting.
DH's cupcake was just okay (he got the grey stuff), and I got the chocolate orange eclair - I really liked mine. lol

My kids liked the pasta and sauce meal there. We had lunch at BOG twice on our trip a few weeks ago....once was enough. Lol. I actually prefer the food at cosmic rays starlight cafe. But it is awesome having them deliver food to your table! So much better than walking around with a tray full of food looking for a table. I like the ham and cheese sandwich the best.
I got the tuna nicoise salad, which was pretty good. My sister subbed the tuna for chicken and said it was amazing. DD1 (4.5) got the Mickey Meatloaf but didn't eat it. I think DD2 (20 months) ate a pouch we brought with us lol.
We wanted to pre-order for lunch, but my sister has severe food allergies and they said it would be best to wait and order there. We probably waited 20-30 just to order.
