I love this. I really need to make time for myself so I am not a zombie and can get involved in other things. I don't know how to change that though. I am just waiting for DD to start Pre-K, but that isn't until August-September.
Since my schedule changes monthly, I started making goals by season/every 3-4 months.
I break them up in to categories such as work related, health related and volunteer/activism related. Then under each category I have 2 to 4 specific things I want to accomplish. So far I really like this system as I like writing down things on paper.
I'm taking 2017 to be a big year for training so over the weekend I wrote down all of the races I want to do and a brief schedule. My focus for now is swim training to prep for a triathlon and half marathon in March.
I decide this school year I would say yes more at work and it's been good. I have spent my career pushing back to make people do things the right way and it's been miserable at times. This year I'm saying yes with some suggestions to fix their fuckery and it's been ok. I sticking to no in my personal life. It makes me a happier person, lol.
I'd like to add being more active in the community. I'm seriously going to meet more people and get involved.
I am going to add for me taking a creative writing class and find a new mentor at work to help me move my career forward fastee
That's a good one. I definitely need a career mentor because I still don't know exactly how to get to where I want to go. I need to sit down and write some emails.
