I have a small facade improvement project and for some reason I'm really struggling with a color scheme. They really only have $ for paint and lighting. It is in an urban area with a lot of brick and other buildings. (This building has brick under the dryvit, but due to $$ the dyrvit has to stay.) Any suggestions?

Not entirely a fan of that color scheme. It just ... looks wrong. I think it's the black and/or the placement of the color.
This might be weird, but I think I'd accent the corner with red instead. Like, a 90-degree wrap from window to window on that right corner. (I hope that makes sense.)

I dunno, it's an awkward building to refresh, especially if *just paint* is all they're allowing. Maybe a light charcoal instead of the black? I don't know. I feel like no matter what I suggest, it's still going to look funny because it's just so awkward.
I'd probably make that middle molding black. Where you have coral, I'd leave that a color (IDK what color, but a color), and where you have the blue-ish color, I'd make that a neutral (such as white or ivory). I like that you have the color of the light fixtures mimicking the base color.
Did you select the colors from the branding, or did they ask for something different? I won't lie, those colors (the blue and coral) together on that building remind me of Pee Wee's Playhouse.
Do they have enough money to do a new awning? I've found that awnings can have a major impact even if they're small.

munkii - irl, in that neighborhood the building is an eyesore. The colors are random. The branding is just browns as far as I know now.
This is what I ended up sending as first draft options. Including one with awnings and one with some horizontal ribs. I'm not in love with them, but it will at least jumpstart the conversation.
I like the plum one. Not a fan of the black, plus it will fade and show dirt faster than most colors. Especially noticeable at the street level. I've also noticed that reds especially, but also blues tend to fade a lot in sun, so deep reds can be tricky.
