Gave: we gave our niece a makeup kit and she was so excited. She's only 11 and she wears makeup when she does gymnastics meets so now she has her own. It's only Ulta brand but came in a nice kit.

Received: DH bought me a Vera Bradley purse and travel makeup bag. Also this trip to Key West.

No gift cards.

Gave: I ended up ordering a nice watch for H at the last minute. He seemed really excited about it when he opened it, which makes me happy.

Received: H is brilliant. Rather than buying me a new necklace, he snuck my old one out of the house and got it repaired so that I can wear it again. He originally gifted it to me 5-6 years ago or so, and I didn't think it was repairable at this point. It was totally unexpected and so much better than a new one.

Gift Cards: We got more than usual this year, because my mom went the GC route for almost all of her gifts. I'm definitely most excited about my tattoo gift certificate from H, though.

Favorite gift(s) you gave? I gave H a DaVinci clock model kit thing he had looked at and I think he's pretty excited about it! He's into steampunk stuff and this clock (which works) is very steampunk looking!

Favorite gift(s) you received? I got a lot of really cool stuff but I think the crochet kits, specifically the Star Wars one I was really wanting them and H listened because I got that one, plus Winnie the Pooh, Frozen and Disney princess kits! I've been wanting to make stuff like this so I love that these kits come with everything you need!

Any gift cards you're excited to spend? We just got Chick-Fil-A gift cards which is yummy We both got some cash from my parents so I'm trying to decide what to spend that on!

Gave: E a PBK anywhere chair. And I found this stepstool at a garage sale a couple months ago that was PERFECT for my sister in her new house. She loved it.

Received: I got a lot of things on my wish list--so very blessed--but my favorite are these nail polish jammies my SIL and her daughter gave me. Not on my wish list, but they're so me! I also got a pair of Toms that I've had my eye on for years, and were finally in stock and my mom snatched them up.

Gift cards: I got $125 in Nordstrom gift cards that I plan to spend on new bras once I finally wean E. My old prepregnancy bras are too big now, womp womp.

Gave: toss up between G her trampoline (big hit!) or DH's new fitbit. He was very surprised and pleased. I love truly surprising him.

Received: The spinner ring DH got me. I'm hoping it will help me break a nervous habit plus the gems are my girls' birthstones so it acts as a mother's ring as well.



Gift cards: $100 to the place I get pedicures. Thanks mom!

Gave: I gave a "(School name deleted) Mom" mug to my Aunt. My cousin goes to an out-of-state school. My Aunt said she had been wanting one.

Received: My SIL drew my name and got me a $50 clothing gift card I will definitely use!

Favorite gave: We gave R a play kitchen and he is obsessed. He had no interest in any other presents once he saw it.

Favorite received: I got a new phone case with a pocket for ID/credit card that I'm pretty stoked about. Easy to please over here.

The only gift card I got was Macy's from MIL (which I asked for). I'm excited to hit a sale soon.

Favorite gift(s) you gave? new computer for my in laws (they desperately needed an updated one, and we wanted surprise them as a thank you for watching C and our dog while we were selling our house and moving earlier this year). Also, the gift certificate for an inn in Amish country for the other set of inlaws- they really liked it.

Favorite gift(s) you received? Fiestaware service for 8, Bunn coffeemaker, new home ornament

Any gift cards you're excited to spend? Amazon, though I'm not sure what I want to get with it yet. H and I got a check from my grandma that we're going to use to get wood blinds for our windows and a new bluray player.

Favorite gift(s) you received? DH gave me a pair of peridot stud earrings (R's birthstone) which was a surprise. My parents also got us the food processor we asked for, we've been toying with getting one for years now so I'm happy we finally asked for it
