DH and I are taking our kids (5, 3, 1) to Disney in March. If we want to ride something that they are all too small for, can we use a rider swap for that? And, if so, do we both need fast passes or just the first rider?
That is the gist of how rider swap works. When we went DD was almost 7 but we had 2 one year old with us. I booked the same FP for H, DD and me. DD would ride with one adult using FP and get a rider swap pass when they checked in with the FP. Then, DD would ride a second time with the other adult using rider swap. I don't think they typically scan the magic band of the second rider, so you could probably get FP for 3 different rides for you and H so you end up with 6 rides. But, I think technically you are supposed to have a FP too so they could ask to scan your MB even though that is unusual.

Just be aware that using a fp can still take up to 30 minutes, by the time you are through the queue and finish the ride. For us, we limit the number of rider swaps we do overall because of that.
