Last day in Key West. I'm currently watching paw patrol with our niece. This afternoon is are going deep sea fishing. MIL is paying for h and I since all the things we wanted to do got cancelled. It's a private charter and I feel bad she is paying so much. I hope it will be fun, if not I packed coronas lol.

No plans really for today. We already ran errands and h is playing a video game while I watch Hulu and cross stitch.

I like the vibe of this board. So I'm going jump in, if you'll have me. frequented the Trouble TTC, Got Pregnant and some random posting. I recognize a few posters.

Not much going on here. Just winding down from Christmas. I took little miss to get her photo taken for her passport this morning. Kinda funny to think she'll be stuck with a newborn photo until she's 5.

Tired today. Our household is still sick, boys and me with a cold and DH probably had the flu (he pooped his pants while getting ready for work). Thankfully I am just really tired and only mildly congested...L too. C got it the worst by far but had a better night and is better today than yesterday. Looks like he got my parents sick too.

We have family in from OOT wanting to see the boys. My parents thought I wouldn't want company but I am all for it if everyone is ok with risking getting sick (I doubt we are contagious at this point though). Hoping they come by today and tomorrow.

We walked to Starbucks today! Used my Christmas gift card to try out the new tuxedo mocha...i'm a huge fan!! Might be going back later this week.

Still waiting on a contractor to come out to access the leak damage. Other than all this, no plans but to get healthy. Happy hump day yall!!

Got windshield sipers installed a few weeks ago. It's been way too cold to use them. Well, yesterday it rained. When I went to use them, they wouldn't function. I go back to the place that installed them and they said, "It's something internal. You need to take it to a shop." I want to rage seeing as how my old ones worked just FINE until I took them there. It's a chain place....so I doubt anyone will do anything at this point to help.

We got E a passport card at like 2 months old and we were thinking the same thing! Also, I was annoyed that they had to get a picture of a small infant without our hands in the picture and they couldn't lay him down. Really??

On a positive note...DH gave me cash to buy clothes, specifically new jeans since I am wearing my maternity jeans and only saved my normal size jeans. I tried on the other jeans today (size 2) and they almost fit (I can button, they are just slightly uncomfortable)! Probably use t e money for new shorts and shorts now.

DH is with the insurance adjuster for the car right now. He said the damage is pretty extensive, even more than we suspected. Not sure if he will be able to safely keep driving it...still waiting to see what the adjuster says.

We have a counseling appointment tonight and I feel like it's pointless. We still haven't done the budget like we were supposed to or really changed much of anything. We've been crazy busy but still. I'm feeling kinda defeated. H's spending has been in check, and his CC is paid off, so that's all good. I just wish we could get everything else in order. I'm sick of living in such a huge mess and I want to meal plan and everything but it's all so overwhelming and I can't get myself to do it, especially when H isn't being super helpful either. I don't know what to do. I'll talk to the counselor about it but it'll probably just be us making a goal and not ever doing it again. I'm not sure how to motivate myself, much less motivate H to do anything when he's working so much.

I went to a travel agency.  They just plopped her in a bumbo and draped a white sheet over my hands.  She's 2.5 months so she has pretty good head control so I steadied her from the back but I could see it being a challenge with a younger baby.

I am enjoying my week home. Dinner is prepped, house is reasonably clean, and I'm relaxing under my heated blanket now.

luv2rn4fun Did you find that your hips widened from pre-pregnancy? I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight and my belly is basically all gone except for a little extra skin. I went through all my jeans yesterday and it seems like I've gained an inch as they fit tighter across my hips. I straddled 2 sizes before so the size up fits. Should I hold on to the inch smaller jeans I hopes they'll fit, or should I just purge them now?

On a positive note, I found 40% off sale jeans from my preferred brand so I ordered a couple of pairs yesterday.

Smart! E always had good head control but we had to hold him. We went to our county place and did the photos there. Maybe for the next kid we'll bring a Bumbo, lol.

I would save them, you never know what will happen. This was my 4th pregnancy, 2nd baby (2 losses before C). My hips definitely were a little wider after C but I don't know if they are even wider now after L (hard to say since I have another 5 lbs to go and these jeans were bought at 5- 6 months PP last time). That being said...i purged all my bigger jeans when we moved at 7 months pregnant and wish I had saved a couple pairs (not sure what I was thinking because I clearly wasn't going back to a size 2 anytime soon and I was due end of Sept, so would need pants for fall/winter). Nesting mode taken too far! LOL

Blue Moon- thank you! Glad you are enjoying your time off! Been thinking of you as I am about to sleep train L in a few weeks...i remember you recommending Sle.ep Sen.se. what exactly would this look like with a 15- 17 week old and can it be started sooner? He can put himself to sleep drowsy but awake, knows his nap time routine, but for some reason does not make the sleep cycle transition without me picking him up and holding him (for naps), which I only do when C is napping. Nights are sometimes a 3- 4 hour stretch followed by every 2 hours. I totally plan to Gerber at 17 weeks/4 months unless I can do something gently earlier. Also need to get him into his crib at some point and me out of his room.

cowgirlcutie - My mom still has my passport from when I was a baby. We were stationed overseas, so they had to get one for me right after I was born. Apparently it was a huge PITA to try and take a picture with my eyes open. lol.

Happy Humpday! H, little guy, and I spent the day in St Augustine. It was pretty impromptu as we'd just planned to run down that way to return something. The weather ended up being really nice so I texted my cousin who is in school there to meet us for lunch. I'm relaxing now while R takes a late nap and H is at the gym. Need to get this Christmas tree down!

I sound like Minnie Mouse today since I lost my voice. My patients think it hilarious and my coworkers keep giving me crap for it. Oh the joy of being sick.

One of my sisters and dad came to visit yesterday and are staying until tomorrow. It's been a nice few days! We are all going for sushi tonight since it's half price on Wednesday and my sister has never had it, so it'll be fun to have her try it! I work at 430a tomorrow so I will be heading to bed earlier than normal.

Work has been horrible th past few days, it's been one crisis after another. So I hope tomorrow is decent... I am definitely looking forward to the new year for work!

Thanks ewall! Rough couple weeks but it's all just part of life. Thankfully no major health issues, DH wasn't injured in his accident, and it seems that the leak is just a major PITA but not too much damage. Things could be much worse...very thankful these two events aren't things causing is stress financially as well.

The latest update on the car is $3900 minimum in damage, which is more than the car is worth. They will likely be writing a check for that amount and DH needs to decide if he want to go through the hassle of buying it back and keep driving it or get a new to us car.

Kid related:
Proud mom moment...C peed in the toilet twice tonight! I am totally not up for potty training until I can sleep train L so definitely taking this very lightly. Called my dad to share the good news and he thought I was going to announce another pregnancy...LOL! Sorry dad, you likely won't ever hear those words coming from my mouth again (DH is pretty sure he is done, although the other day he told his BFF's wife that he wants to want a third baby).

😞 car is 80% packed to leave Key West. Tomorrow we drive to Orlando. I can't believe vacation is almost over. Only 4 more days:(
