We probably won't even stay up until midnight. We talked about going out for dinner or something, but all the restaurants have special NYE menus that are wicked expensive so we'll probably go out on Sunday night instead.
I have a football game to watch at 2:00 that day. After that, no plans.....I should see what DH wants to do. I'll be free after 6. Of course, that's when DD will be asleep. So....not sure. I should probably get him a bottle of champagne I'll be up at midnight to kiss him. The one year we both fell asleep before midnight was the worst year EVER...so I'm paranoid about not kissing him at midnight.

BIL/SIL invited us to a family party at their place that afternoon/evening but I'm thinking H will veto it because of the Alabama game. I doubt he will want to watch that will a million kids and non bama fans running around, and I'm not keen on heading over after the game right at R's bedtime.
Depending on baby's mood, we are going out for Chinese food with my sister. If he's fussy, we will order takeout. I sleep when the baby sleeps, so unless he is awake at midnight, I won't stay up. Fun times over here!
Ditto! But seeing that he is usually up around this time there is a good chance I will be up. Here's to hoping L decides to start sleeping and starts 2017 off to a good start!

We're going to friend's wedding. We were kinda pumped that we had ready-made plans when we received the invite since it always seems like such a chore to make NYE plans. However, over the last week, we've had some invites from other friends' for parties they're hosting. Even one that will just be an afternoon event, perfect to attend with baby. Ah well, that's the way it goes!

We have a Christmas get together earlier that day, then leaving E with my parents and going to my friend's (she lives close to them) for games and fun!
We are lame! We never go out to a party or out to dinner, we don't like the massive reatarurant crowd haha. So we will keep our tradition alive with getting take out sushi from our favorite place and renting a few movies, grabbing our favorite wine and chill at home. This year both of us are off on New Years Day so we can actually stay up till midnight! I will probably make a yummy breakfast for us on NYD
We are celebrating Christmas at the ILs that day. We won't do anything special that night. We don't really celebrate NYE. At most I would see if DH would go by the liquor store to pick something up and maybe grab take out.
H and I usually stay home and watch movies, make a dinner of snacks, and try really hard to see the ball drop but fall asleep on the couch long before midnight... old and lame, party of 2.
Am I the only person that doesn't eat the whole "cabbage and black pea" New Year's Day meal? The last time I ate it, I had a terrible year....so I'm superstitious about it now.

I don't. I didn't even know it was a thing until about 5 years ago when a friend served it at her party on New Year's Day.

My mom has a soup on NYD tradition, but no cabbage is involved.

We do pork and sauerkraut as the traditional New Year's Day dinner.

It was really yummy. It's totally something I would eat.....just on another day. I can't risk another 2014 I'm sure it's all in my head though. LOL

No big plans for us, we are going to chill at home and watch college football. We have done the "quiet NYE at home" thing for several years now and love it. Plus, my MIL, SIL and niece are flying in the next morning so we're going to be spending part of the day cleaning and doing laundry and such to get ready for that.

I've never heard of this. Definitely have never eaten it.
We invited a few friends over. We are going to have a bonfire, as I don't really want to stay up late, but I want DH to enjoy the evening. So this way I can go inside and to bed whenever I want and he can enjoy his friends outside in the backyard.
So I guess we will go to a party for a few hours but come home pretty early to still keep the kiddos on schedule. We'll probably start the new year off with a bang, if you know what I mean...

Change of plans. We aren't driving home but have no clue what's going on lol. My ILs house kinda looks like it's set for a party but they went to church so we can't ask. I may make H order dinner soon.

So they just left you by yourselves with no food and a house that seems oddly party prepped? I'd be suspicious. Lol. Not sure of what. Your birthdays are past, right?

Yea. It was set for us lol. H and I ordered takeout before they got home. Currently MIL and I are enjoying cocktails while H and FIL watch tv. There is snacks in the fridge. I thought they would invite their friends but they didn't. MIL just wanted to make it festive for us lol. We are just trying to make it until midnight.
