Thoughts on Cancellation of Welcome show?

Hmm, I think I might've get like this change.

We like to RD if we do not have a PPO ADR. I feel like we rush through main St to get to other things. It would be nice to not feel the need to rush right past. From a crowd management point of view this seems to make more sense.

I am sure it will make them more money so from that POV I am surprised they did not do this sooner.

Curious to see how this plays out. Wonder if they will ever try to do both. would people still stick around for the show if they could go in?

I don't mind...I think I only saw the opening show once. We try to do PPO breakfasts or BBB appts. It is nice to get the empty park pic, but it's not that big of a deal. Last trip someone still walked in the background...kind of funny. And really, anything to help with crowd control at the gates gets a thumbs up from me.

After my awful family of the day experience ( lol) I think I never want to see the train show again ( the music gives me a panic attack now!!)

Well, I'll say that shopping in the morning is something I'll never do. I don't like carrying all my stuff around, and I don't shoot until the last day or two, so don't use the resort delivery option.

I'm a little sad about the show. Nostalgia and all.

It looks like there will still be a show, just at the castle instead. The area to view the train show was so crowded when we visit, and that is usually in the low season...I cannot imagine what it is like in the high season.

We never had a crazy crowded welcome show at the train station. One of my favorite pictures from our trip this past fall was of my girls and lurknomore 's girls watching the opening show together.

I just feel like it was a great opening to it all and a castle welcome show isn't really a welcome show IMO because you are already in the park.

Yes and I think your belle pictures from the Christmas party were added to our bands as well!

I always got a little teary-eyed with the opening show for some reason, but I have seen it enough and we often miss it by a few minutes anyway. I certainly won't be shopping that early though.
