I couldnt believe how nasty Nick turned. He reminded me of the guy in high school who is ignored all 4 years and then on the last day of school turns on everyone.

I saw the Tony and Blakely proposal coming from a mile away, but I did NOT see Nick turning on Rachel like that! Does she really get nothing?! I wonder if he'll give her some money anyway on the side? I know he had a point to prove and like pp mentioned he's like the guy in high school who was ignored, but still how could he just leave her with nothing?
But then I see the other side.. he was right she didn't see him as her partner and wanted to give up and leave several times. He was in it on his own, and she was hanging on by a thread. I don't think what he did was right, but I can understand why he did it.
I was really disappointed, and kind of disgusted. How could you give your word to someone that you're going to share the money, after she helped him get to the finals with the whole Sister Christian act, and then totally stab them in the back? I could not look at myself in the mirror if I was him. And he was SO arrogant and flippant about it. He claims that he masterminded his way to the top but I agree with Rachel, he just got lucky. Ugh.
Ditto he got lucky. And he is dead wrong - he was shit in the rock n roll competition - she basically won it for him. It's sooooo lame to say that all she had to do was basically fawn over him and he would have split it with her. So the only thing she did wrong was fall in love with a guy and not get over it in 48 hours? ok...

This. But i don't think he was wrong to do what he did. Everything he said to back up his decision afterwards was absolutely true. He played the game brilliantly just like he said.

Well of course he played the game well. So did Chris. The game is designed to award the biggest lying a-hole. The only way that doesn't happen is when people choose to not be a-holes, and self sacrifice in the process. Defending Nick for "just playing the game" is just showing your own true colors. (not that anyone here is defending Nick - I'm talking about Chris and Sarah and Kalon and such)

::shrug::
He didn't really lie or act like an a-hole until his very last decision. Just kind of rode solo and stayed out of the drama. IMO that's what won it for him- Chris did himself in with all the lying and it backfired. If the biggest lying a-hole really won, Chris would have taken the prize.
Part of me felt a little sorry for Rachel, but she also made decisions that put herself in that spot. She may have pulled it together to perform that last challenge, but she wasn't really "there" the whole time. (At least according to Nick.) I think the most intelligent thing said last night actually came from Kalon- no one "deserved" that money. It was a game. They both made their choice and took a chance in doing so. Rachel could just as easily have chosen "keep" and they both would have been screwed.
In the end, it ended up being great for the viewers (speaking for myself)! I like a little surprise trick from the underdog :-)

I'm totally with you on every word of this. I thought it was hilarious. Good for him. It's a game. He didn't owe her anything yet people are mad he screwed her over?? I kinda think it's karma biting her in the ass for screwing over her best friend the week before. Not one person was ever looking out for him. Why should he look out for any of them? Sure, he was there because people were trying to keep Rachel around....but SHE didn't keep him around. She never fought for him or his place in the finale. I thought it was hilarious when she kept saying, "But you're here because of me!!!" Get over yourself.
I'm not saying it wasn't callous or that I didn't feel bad for her, but that's what she signed up for. It's a risk. People are lying and back stabbing the whole season for the money, but people only hold them accountable for their actions in the final decision? Would anyone have hated Michael over Erica's elimination? It's the same thing. What Nick did happened every single week. Kalon was spot on. It's a game, and in the end, he played it the best and he won.
I feel the need to AW this in every Bachelor Pad post I see. Chris Harrison is just so damn cute.
lol at the bum in the background!!
I don't like Nick but I am happy he did what he did because she did treat him awful. I wanted Chris and Sara to win because they are a couple and fought hard to stay at the end.
