We are going in a couple of weeks and split our trip between AKL and Caribbean Beach. I have never stayed at either. Any tips or must do things at AKL? We will have a concierge level room, is the food any good?

We own DVC at AKL and love it there! We have always liked the food there, no complaints...and we love the pool and hot tubs, It's fun doing the night vision goggles to see the animals, and the staff has a list of activities that go on at the resort daily.

If you are staying standard at CBR, fax in a request for Aruba or Jamaica near the footbridge. It's a very large resort!

DH said he already requested Martinique, but I thought those were preferred location. IDK.

We stayed at AKL Kidani last fall, and are returning to AKL in June. My boys LOVED it there.

They had different activities for the kids between Kidani and Jambo where they could earn beads for a bracelet/necklace, and the boys loved doing those. They had a drum/music session in the Jambo lobby with story telling, night vision goggles for the savanna at night.

You can use both pools, which are very nice. Dinner at Sanaa, ask for a window table and you get birds playing with you while you eat...my boys loved interacting with them.

ETA, I haven't done Concierge at AKL, but we did it in Disneyland. The food and drinks weren't amazing, but they certainly filled us so that we didn't need breakfast, and were great when we went back to swim in the afternoon. They held us over til dinner.
