Glad you had a good visit, RockNVoll! And good for you for not trying to cram too much into one trip; I'm sure it's much too easy to over-commit on these shorter trips.

We had a lovely, quiet Christmas at home. Ben was delighted by all his presents - he's at just the right age to be excited about everything, because he expected nothing. We opened the door to the playroom where his presents were mostly set up already, and he said, "wooooow!" Totally made the 8ish hours my husband spent setting up the play kitchen worth it

And it was nice to have that week off and just hang out with no real plans.

And now, here we are back to reality all too soon. Bah!
