I'm about 5'2" My now 17 year old son has been taller than me since he's been like ten. I don't mind being short. My youngest twin is the size of an average 3 year old but she's 6. She is def not going to be over 5' I don't think. Both of my brothers are 6'2"
I always have heels on though so I likely seem taller.
Ok shorties, we need to discuss shrinking. I've heard from many that we will shrink as we age. My aunt's mom is in her 90s and has shrunk about 5 inches. She's not hunched either, she has impeccable posture. Apparently this is common?
I'm 5'1". Being short feels like a pretty big part of my identity, mainly because I can't remember a time when people didn't marvel over how small I am. I've never minded being short past the point I grew enough to go on the roller coasters at Cedar Point
I will say the skinny jean / pants trend has saved me a lot in hemming

You aren't just short, you're the cutest little tiny package there ever was. AND you are ignorning me, I've quoted or tagged you at least 3x in the past 2 days. Harumph!
I'm not ignoring you! I'm just...checking my notifications and then forgetting to reply 5 minutes later. You know how it goes.
ETA: mofongo I haven't tried Afrin but I'll keep in in mind the next time I get sick
as someone who is 6'0" .. no you don't want this kind of height. I've joking told shorter friends I'd be more than happy to spare a few inches to bring me down to something far less intimidating like 5'9" lol
I have no idea what is considered short for a woman. I think I'm about average - between 5'3" and 5'4". That doesn't feel particularly short, but my kids are both taller than I am at ages 15 and 16.
Edit: just googled, and average height for women in the USA is 5'4".
Then why are pants so goddamn long?!
Not short, but checking in because of bolded. I am 5'8" which is clearly taller than average for a woman and regular pant lengths are good for me 98% of the time. If the average height is 5'4", I'm 4 inches above that. How does that length prove to be average? I promise my legs aren't extra short. I often wonder if short pants are also "long". Because Tall pants are like---I could wear 6 inch heels and they still might be too long. Clearly the person dictating pant lengths is way off. I'm not complaining, but it's weird.
(And although being tall is good, I have always envied petite women) The grass is always greener!

5'3". I am short waisted so I don't dangle but I hate needing a chair to get into cabinets. Otherwise, like my height. I read the US ideal height is 5'6" for a woman. People voted on that in some magazine years ago
I am 5'6" and some change. I used to be 5'7" so that probably explains my back issues. I have a very short torso and am all legs. Sitting in a chair people several inches shorter than me seem taller.

I'm 5'8"! I'd be happy with 5'10" just to lean me out a little
