I'm not sure if I told you all but I had a patient I met for the first a couple weeks after the election. I didn't even notice at first but went to listen to her heart with my stethoscope and was met with a safety pin. I almost started laughing thinking of you all.

I could only imagine her going back to her friends proudly proclaiming that she had a black doctor that she smiled at that day.
