It's Saturday!!!
I'm going to post the h&f post tomorrow. I've been way too busy.
Tonight is our fire department's final banquet dinner. H is currently napping and I need to start doing my hair and makeup in a few minutes. He needs to get there early since he is chief but I plan on riding the bus the department rented. H is driving his vehicle and we can pick it up tomorrow. The bus is our ride if we plan on drinking. We both plan on it lol. They finally listened to me and rented a bus. If people drink too much and can't drive, we can just stay at the fire house tonight. I put our air mattress in the car in case a sober driver can't get us home or the bus can't drop us off on the way since you need to drive pass our house to go to the fire house. We can pick up cars tomorrow, rather be safe as most of us plan on being. I apologize in advance for drunk posts or Facebook posts lol. There may be many on Facebook.
Have fun wineandcheese! (I almost tagged you wrong, lol.)
We just had a nice visit with one of dhs aunts. Now we are relaxing this afternoon, doing laundry and such. Tonight we are going to a friends place for a game night.
It is sooo nice to be home. So much space, a clean house not filled to the brim with collectibles, and no dogs. I am not a huge dog person, but usually I don't mind them much. 9 dogs pushed me over the edge.
My husband is so fantastic. He totally cleaned the house while I was gone, including the bathrooms. Today has been relaxing as a result
My inlaws are in town. Their idea of visiting a 2 month old is by spending hours at the mall and then coming over at 6pm when baby is cranky. Today they want to go to breakfast and then back to the mall. It feels like -10 out and they want to bring the baby.
That's so weird! Do they feel in the way at your house so they leave all day? Why the mall?

I woke up with what feels like a head cold. I'm being lazy, hydrating and resting. H sounds like he is getting sick too. Great. I haven't broken the news to him yet that he is cooking dinner tonight lol.
H and I finally got our date night last night. It snowed a surprise 7 or so inches, but in laws live locally and still were still set to watch B overnight so off she went. It was just what we needed! A nice dinner out, time to reconnect and actually talk, and a good night's sleep! Bonus: because I'm actually not exhausted today for once, I've been super productive during B's nap. 3 loads of laundry done, master bath scrubbed, all trash cans emptied, groceries bought, and dinner is simmering on the stove. I also snagged a ton of kids clothes at Kohls for less than $1 piece and am slowly building a wardrobe for DS!
