Because nothing else can go wrong, K has motherfucking ringworm. It started as a few small patches on her chest that I thought were ant bites or something. Then the next morning she had a few on her stomach. Then one on her arm. Today she got one next to her mouth so I high tailed it to the doc and he said it is ringworm. They're fairly small, the biggest is maybe dime sized? The rest are like mosquito bite sized. Usually when I've seen it on people they only have one and it's larger.
Any experience w this? Her doc said her clothing, bedding, towels, etc need to all be washed in hot water every day until they're gone and it can take a few weeks! He said he would throw the clothes away after, wtf?
WHAT!? I'm not an expert, but that sounds excessive. I had it as a teen, didn't thrown anything away. I'd wash everything in hot, hot water, but that's about it. Obviously treat her, but I wouldn't throw anything away. Hope it clears up soon.
That's what I said! I'm not throwing her clothes away, dude! Yeah it's a pain. I asked about sports (volleyball) and he said she should be good to go if she wears a thermal or something under her uniform as an added barrier.
I started her on the anti fungal cream and then my essential oil friend brought some samples over that she swears will work. I doubt it but I figure it can't hurt to throw some on there. Ugh. Ringworm.
