Gus actually did okay in his crate last night. He whined for a few minutes before he settled in, and slept until 5:30am. He usually lets us sleep later than that on weekends, but that's when he eats breakfast on weekdays so it kind of makes sense for him to have decided that was time to wake up. I'm calling night one a success.
However, I slept like shit. I expected it since I always have trouble sleeping on the first night with a fresh tattoo, but it still sucks. I'm tired and cranky and H is still sleeping while I've been awake for three hours.
I am so tired. DS was wheezing in the middle of the night last nigth so I was up with him giving him a breathing treatment. We are lazing around today despite needing to clean/do laundry.

I'm about to go shower and get ready. Didn't do much this morning other than folding a little laundry and stuffing diapers. We're going down to ILs to drop E off and visit with BIL once E gets up from his nap. Then my work party and seeing Rogue One!
I worked for a few hours this morning. It was a little slick out.. we got a little taste of the ice storm last night. We are supposed to get hit pretty hard late tonight. I'm hoping I'll be able to get to work tomorrow with no issues as I can't afford to not go in.
I should of taken a nap today... but have been lazy instead. I need to be productive at some point!!
Oh and I desperately need to write the new budget!
DH and I are relaxing today. Maybe doing a little shopping later. Then tonight we are going to go to a friends who's having people over for drinks.
**baby talk** -Baby wick slept in her bassinet last night. She slept in there from 11pm-7am!! (She woke up to feed three times but fell back asleep in her bassinet each time!) She never wants to be in there, up until now she only wanted to sleep at night if being held. I slept so well last night!!
We had a fun birthday party for my uncle at a sports bar today. I think tomorrow I might try to go see Hidden Figures, and then get my hair highlighted Monday. So happy it's a long weekend!
We went to upgrade H's phone because he was way overdue for an upgrade and his super old phone finally died. Somehow, I ended up upgrading my phone while we were there, too. lol.

I've been having a crappy week. One of my cows had her 1st baby on Wednesday except we lost baby as she was suffocated in the placenta. Then my farmer friend texts me more bad news this morning that he found one of my pregnant cows dead outside. She was due with twins next month. Friend thinks it was a heart attack. I just hope it wasn't hypothermia and that she didn't suffer from the brutal -40 Temps we've been having this week. DH leaves for 5 days OOT tomorrow and I'm nervous to be on my own with baby.
I'm so sorry about your cows cowgirlcutie. I remember when my grandparents owned their farm and how sad it was when they lost a cow/calf. And good luck on your own with the little one. You can do it!
I thought it was going to snow with the amount of people at the grocery store this morning. I wish I ate before I went since I bought a lot more then usual. Oops.

I've been pretty lazy today. We saw the movie last night and it was good! H went down to ILs to get E but he's also taking his mom to the store and going through some of his stuff at their house so he's not planning on coming back until after E naps. Maybe by the time he gets back I'll throw in some laundry or clean something, lol.

Lunch for the week.. preped
I'm going to try to behave with my eating, drinking and working out this week. H told me told me today the first weekend of February we are going wine tasting in the Finger Lakes. I can't wait!!!!

H just realized the weekend he wants to go wine tasting is super bowl Sunday weekend. Too late! We will be home early enough on that Sunday and I already made sure I was off that weekend buddy! Plus we can either bring wine to whomever's house we go to or get snacks and drink wine during the game at home. I see a win-win situation. I prefer at home but know I will be over ruled like every year.
I was going to keep crocheting my Pooh I'm working on but the yarn is all tangled so I decided to start Yoda instead. I'm liking him so far except there's a hole on the top of his head (expected that would happen) and the bottom got a little messed up but you can't see it anyways He just needs ears and arms now!
cowgirlcutie that is so sad. I'm very sorry do you operate a dairy farm or are your cows recreationally owned? My dad grew up on a dairy farm and even though it was his whole life for many years he tells stories about how sad it was to lose one.
estrellita Yoda is cute! What are you making those for? Are they hard to do?
amaranth Just for fun really. H and MIL got me 4 crochet kits for Christmas that come with materials to make a few things. This kit has Yoda and a stormtrooper, the Pooh one also has piglet, Frozen has Elsa and Anna, and the princess one has Ariel (my favorite) and Cinderella. I like the kits because I don't have to go find materials for those, I'll just have to get stuff for the rest of the characters. I've always wanted to try making amigurumi (sp?) things so this was a perfect way to start! Some of it is confusing at first since it's a new concept for me but the instructions are pretty good and I Google anything that isn't clear enough

amaranth Technically, my cows are recreationally owned, but they are boarded at a working dairy farm. I work there part time too. I grew up on a dairy farm and after a huge family fall out I moved the cows I had purchased personally to my friend's farm. I would've loved to have owned my own farm, but basically unless you're handed down a farm from family, it's almost impossible to get into from scratch.
