That bath sheet post from earlier in the week got me thinking. I need some recommendations on new towels!
I am looking to replace our towels. We have two separate sets and they won't really go with the colors we are painting the bathroom. One of the sets we have is the Hotel Collection from Macy's and for the price of the towels..they didn't really hold up well. They are about 4 years old and look ragged, faded, and in overall poor condition. They were great for the first year or so then not so much.
The other set was from Kohls - Croft and Barrow. They are those quick dry ones. They are at least 6 years old possibly older. I can't find the same ones online otherwise I would just get those again because they have held up really well. Not a lot of fading or pulls in them.
What towels do you have and how have they held up?
I replaced my Macy's hotel collection with Drisoft (from BB&B). They are not fluffy plush towels but I love that they dry very quick when hanging in the bathroom and in the dryer. Our HC towels took forever to dry and would get mildew smell very easily.
Our new ones are from Sams Club. I got one pair just as a temporary option, but afyer 8mos we liked them so much and they held up so well we got another set.
(I would prefer to have a Costco membership but there are none in the area).
My Hotel Collection towels from Macy's are still going strong after 6-8 years. From the sounds of it I'm going to have to try something new when I replace them.

I try to get the Horchow Ralph Lauren ones when they are on super sale. They have monogramming, if your into that, sometimes for free, otherwise, about $3. When they have their big sale, a bath sheet is around $20. I think it is coming up soon.

We got a bunch from pottery barn when we got married. No idea how the price compares but almost 11 years later and they're still absorbent and soft and their color has stayed nice.
I have Ralph Lauren towels that have held up well. Most others have fallen apart in a year or so. A more recent purchase was Fieldcrest towels from target. So far, I like them.
