Is anyone here planning to go to the one in DC or a local one? I keep getting invites to go and I just have no desire, but its not something I can explain.
I will not be attending the one in DC for a number of reasons. But like I told my friends thinking about going, don't make a decision until after the Inauguration. If it is relatively peaceful, go. If there is violence of any kind I would not go. You can expect retaliation from Trump supporters. And depending on what state you live in, guns are allowed.
Yeah, I don't feel like this is my fight. Not doing it.
I feel like White women got us into this mess so they need to fucking fix it themselves. I am happy to be of assistance but they need to take the damn lead. I did take Luvvies suggestion and donate here: /description
No, I'm not going. This isn't my battle to fight. I feel strongly that white women need to own this shit and deal with their people. I rallied my folks to vote for HRC. I did my part. I'm not marching here.
I walked by/snapped some pictures on my way to the gym since it was essentially in my neighborhood here.
I didn't see many WOC but I didn't see the whole crowd.
Although not my thing, it is nice to see such a movement against Cheeto and I hope the fighting spirit continues for the next few years until we can get rid of this idiot.
I didn't go primarily because a friend passed away a couple of weeks ago and I've been in a fog. I didn't even remember the inauguration until Thursday night. I wasn't inspired to go previously anyway so I missed this boat completely. Seeing pictures from friends who attended the local one makes me feel a tinge guilty. Or maybe not guilt, but like I should be doing something today. I'd planned to visit a couple of minority owned businesses today so that will be my part.

I went to the DC march and had a great time. I went with my friend, her 10 month old and her mom. I got a great Obama calendar while I was out and about. Huge turnout of people, some good speakers and pretty good weather. A win. Glad I went.
LA's march was great. 70,000 expected; final estimate was 750,000. Lots of representation by POC and the LGBT community. Almost as many men as women in attendance. Lots of families were there as well.
