Yay!
We woke up early to get my car inspected. The dealership failed it for 1 tire being worn, but looking it wasn't worn to the point that it should of failed. So we took it to our local place and it passed, no issues. Now h is starting to see why I hate dealing with dealerships. If I didn't still have 4 free oil changes there I would go at all but, free.
I have so much housework to do and need to go to Ulta for the last time. I'm done with their in store managers. Cashiers, floor staff and brow girls, no problem. Managers, every time I deal with them. Instead of starting housework I'm sitting here, drinking coffee.
I also refuse to go to the dealership... we have a recall on a part on the car, and I'm just dreading having to go!
I woke up early today, perused the news, amazon etc! I'll wake hubs up soon so we can go swim then meet my dad and brother for a quick lunch at the hotel restaurant. Then we will depart to go to ikea and our other St. Louis errands. We are in search of a DVD shelf, coffee table and potentially a high top kitchen table. We will see the cost and decide from there!
I have to return the case I bought for my new phone because it's defective. I haaaaaate going to the cell phone store. It takes forever, and they don't have any of their cases out on display. You have to describe the kind of case you want, and then they bring you options from the back. It's so stupid, but I get 25% cases if I buy them there so I feel like I should just deal with it.

Quiet morning here. Baby slept from 8pm-5am last night. Just having some fruit tea and trying to decide if I should go to town to pick up some cheap strappy tanks to convert into nursing camis.
I'm supposed to go for my 1st milking shift back since baby but DH is balking now at the idea of watching DD while I'm gone. It's only 2.5 hours, I'm 2 miles away and I've got a bottle of expressed milk to feed in case she gets hungry. Ugh, I just want a little break and to see my cows. I don't think it's too much to ask.
cowgirlcutie - Go to your milking shift! Your H is just as much of a parent as you are. If you can be alone with the baby, he can be alone with the baby. Don't let him talk you into thinking he isn't just as responsible for his child as you are. Hand him your DD and walk out the door!
cowgirlcutie, go see your cows. Your dh had to get used to the idea of taking care of his kid eventually. My h was nervous the first time he took care of E when I was out of the house for a couple hours and it was fine.

cowgirlcutie- ditto PP. Go. Your DH and baby will be fine. He needs to learn at some point and 2 hours really isn't a long time. Baby steps.
DH sent his resume to three recruiters last night and applied for a job on his own. Here we go! Is it bad that I am nervous our insurance will change and we will have to find new doctors? I love our new pedi and will hate to have to change. Plus all the OBs I saw when L was born were great so I have some good ones to choose from when I need to switch locally. Praying this is something I am stressing for no reason.
DH just left for Costco with C. L will be up any minute so I might go for a walk with just him before his next nap. No real plans this weekend but DH decided to take Monday and next Friday off! Looks like my week next week is going to be short and easy! Hoping the weather is nice Friday and DH can go play golf or doing something he wants to do...or maybe have an interview.
It is 61 degrees right now. I am not sure if this has ever happened here in january. Hell, we're usually lucky to see 60 by May. Spent the morning outside and drove to errands with the windows open. My soul feels refreshed, finally. What a blessing.
travelbug what a fun day! With great weather too! you so deserve this little respite.
katespade it's so weird they don't just have the cases on display like a normal store. That would drive me crazy too.

amaranth it's 52 degrees here. I thought about putting my flip flops on lol. I usually start wear my flip flops once it hits 55 degrees. I hate socks.
And I'm down. I got the dreaded stomach bug. I hope I'm like H and it's gone in 12 hours. I'm relaxing in bed now after I took some zofran.
I sanitized and gave some makeup to a friend who really never got into it. She is so excited. I may have scared her with the false lashes but gave her some tips and now she is a little more confident. She's beautiful without it but enjoying playing with everything.
Thanks Blue Moon! Hope You have a nice visit with your parents!
Busy, productive, and fun day! Took L for a walk, the ran (literally) with C to the store to get Starbucks and brownies. Made brownies and put both boys down for a nap and cleaned the kitchen. Also did an emergency load of laundry first thing this morning. Will probably get C outside again after he wakes up and we might go for a family walk later this afternoon/early evening. Trying to convince DH to hang out with his friend after bedtime tonight...i think it will be good for him.
My former boss got me a pair of wonderful, handmade, one-of-a-kind fingerless mittens as a graduation gift.
My dog just chewed a hole through one of them. I'm absolutely heartbroken. I seriously cried when I realized what he was chewing on. He has never chewed up an item of clothing before, and he had to pick the irreplaceable one.

wineandcheese - It's definitely not repairable. I reached out to the woman who makes them, and she's going to look through her fabrics to see if she can make me one that coordinates with the one he didn't destroy.

I finally showered and changed clothes so that is a weekend win. Baby L is sleeping and H is doing homework. At some point we are going to go to the mall so I can buy some khakis for work. Nothing like putting it off until the last minute.

The milking swift was I success. DH and DD survived. She was fussy (which she usually is at that time of day) and fought taking the bottle but she eventually did and wasn't even hungry when I got home. Plus DH was in the process of making supper. I call that a win.
We just came back from brunch with my former manager and we're just having a lazy Sunday. I'll do some meal prep later but that's all I have planned.
I told my mom about the move today and it went well. She's sad of course, and she said she's not happy about it, but that she is happy for us. She is excited about helping me with the new house.
This coming week I'm going to be extremely busy with work and personal life, so I won't be around much! Just wanted to let y'all know but I'll be back again next week!! (I'll post when I can)
