The sinus infection (flu?) has hit my house despite high dose flu shots.
I'm enraged at urgent care. I went in when I first was feeling ill. Like always, I explain I take a medication that suppresses my immune system so I'm prescribed antibiotics for even minor illnesses. New doctor. Doesn't even check my meds or previous chart. "Our protocol is that we only prescribe antibiotics immediately for ear infections." I tried to explain that they had previously. Just look. Nope. Just a fake smile and "I hope you feel better soon." Less than 24 hours later and a "real" hospital visit, I have super antibiotics and at least can get out of the bed and walk.
Ah skwcm80 now I remember her name. Yes, that should be an awesome event for you and DD. Such an important story.
We ended up not being able to get into the event. We got to the playhouse about 20 minutes early and the line was wrapped around a few times. DD was so disappointed. She was trying to hold back her tears and wouldn't stay to try to get her book signed.
Despite the disappointment I'm glad the turnout was so great.

Aw man, poor thing. I'm sorry she she wasn't able to see her. It's great to hear the turnout was good.
Omg you guys, being a primary care doctor is exhausting! Since I'm a first year and most of our time is spent in the hospital, we only have half days scheduled to see our outpatients in the office.
They give us 30 min for each patient and I just saw 4 in a row and I'm exhausted mentally lol. It would be hard to do that for 8-10 hours straight. And since it was my last patient for the afternoon I took extra time and she was a talker, boy she was a talker. My hat goes off to the psychologists out there that really do listen to people talk all day, I couldn't do it!
I'm definitely going to go in to family planning and public health because the rat race of keeping up with general primary care in our healthcare climate is difficult!
