I think it's going to be good good. They have the rights to the actual music, I believe. And I loved Aaliyah, but she really wasn't all that interesting. New Edition on the other hand... High drama and fuckery. And eighties hair.

My girlfriends are collectively losing their shit about this movie, and about New Edition in general. They go to see them still, refer to them in general conversation as their bae, to the point that I think they're talking about their actual husbands.  But I'm still not feeling it!!  And I do love all the songs and spin off groups and songs.  I was in a black college marching band in the early 90s. Do you know how many New Edition and BBD songs we played? lol  BBD even came to homecoming one year and we had to rehearse with them and they were super nice.  

Still not feeling them.  lol But I will tune in because I know all of y'all will be talking about this tomorrow.

So this was actually a lot better than I expected it to be. I'd planned to give it no more than 10 minutes, but actually got sucked in to the whole thing. Three nights seems excessive, but color me impressed, BET.
