I've been using the PPP (the stick) for three weeks. Every so often I smell a bit at the end of the day, and the next morning I definitely need to hop in the shower. But it's by far the most effective natural deodorant I've used.
I suspect the baking soda is irritating my skin a bit. It's gotten darker and a little red. I am going to try the scoop out paste next to see if not rubbing super hard helps.
Hey, do you have an update?
I had to quit. It just got worse. It didn't hurt, but it was concerning. I didn't buy the scoop-out version because I know it's the baking soda.
So now I'm using Sure unscented and spritzing with a light and citrusy perfume. It's been about a month and I'm very happy with it.
I tried Schmidt's. I'm neither a sweaty nor stinky girl. However, the Schmidt's made me sweat like crazy. Like, sweat through two shirts and a sweater. It doesn't make any sense. I seem to do better when I wear nothing at all, but it just feels wrong to roll out to work with no deodorant on. Perhaps I'm a freak of nature.

I know people who don't wear anything and they have no problem - I mean I've been gym buddies with one of them. There are definitely people who don't need it (I am not one lol).

PPP didn't work for me as the baking soda irritates me and I wanted to like Schmidt's but by the end of the day I smelled funny. Not sure if it didn't just work with my body chemistry or what.
Instead, I've been using Kiss My Face liquid rock in the unscented and it seems to be working and I'm not smelling weird; so far it's a winner for me.
I really liked Schmidts, but I got terrible ingrown hairs under both arms. It seems unlike that deodorant would do that, but I've never had an ingrown hair there I suddenly had a rash of them. I'm tempted to try again with the scoop out kind.

Ive been reading that expectations for natural deodorant need to be adjusted? As in, you need to reapply. I'm not sure Schmidt is working for me. It did well for the first week and then it didn't seems to last long. I am going back to green tidings but thinking about trying the piper wai and carrying my stick of green tidings? I dunno...

I have found this to be VERY true with my natural deodorant (La Vanila). I apply after my shower in the am, usually once again in the afternoon and always before bed. It was a pain at first, but it has been practically a miracle worker for me in the sweating department. I used to sweat through basically every single thing I would wear - leaving me to wear mostly black. Now with La Vanila, I basically don't sweat through any shirt. Total 180. I am absolutely thrilled.
bluestreet You asked about La Vanila in the first post. Have you tried it? A travel size is just $8. I hope you give it a shot. It has been absolutely awesome for me. It is pricey I guess but the benefits have been so worth the price for me.
