My sister is dealing with a lot right now with a terminally ill husband. My mom is visiting helping her for the next few weeks, and I am going down for the weekend. For years she's been wanting to fix up her pantry. It's got fixed shelves so you can't see or reach anything in the back, and a folding doors that blocks off a lot of the side even when fully open. She has asked me if I'm willing to figure out a plan for it, so that she can get it installed while my mom is still visiting and can be home during the days. She wants a company that will do the installation so that she doesn't have to stress about any DIY. At first she wanted like a sliding barn door, but got quotes of 3 - 4k just for the door (she's in downtown DC). I asked my mom to take measurements and she's basically useless, but here's what she sent me: "23" wide 17" deep. I measured the shelves." When I asked her the height, she said, "80" from the ledge bottom down to ground. The raisin box is 11" and from the ceiling to the bottom of the box maybe another 5". Someone taller than me should measure."
Any ideas? My thought was to get some kind of pre-made pull-out pantry -- probably doing two side-by-side. IKEA is definitely out, since they only come in 15" wide. I'm kind of skeptical that the width is 23" and not 24", but I'll check when I'm there. I think they would be okay losing some depth to get something ready-made -- my hope is if I can find like a pull-out pantry that's 12" wide and 80" tall but at least 15" deep they can just put 2x4s along the back of the cabinet to anchor them and just shove them in. Any other ideas?

I know it's the cheesiest website ever, but check out shelvesthatslide.com Their products are well made (not particularly cheap, but well-made), they have installers all over the US, and if they don't have any in your area, they're easy enough to either DIY or hire a handyman/contractor to install.
I had almost an identical pantry. I hired a local carpenter to install sliding drawers in place of shelves and two cabinet style doors in place of the bi fold door. Cost about $1100 total for all materials and labor. It has made a huge difference in our storage. I think that this would likely be the easiest option. He premeasured and built the drawers off site to fit, then installed everything in a day.
