It's the weekend!
Why does healthy food cost so much? I'm trying to stay away from most processed foods but I spent $50 more then usual. I did buy myself a Fitbit today since I lost my other one in September. I'm hoping it motivates me to get up more. I also bought a nice journal kit from Sam's Club in hopes it will help me with my anxiety to write things down.

wineandcheese- eating healthy always costs more in the short term but I guess it's all a trade-off in the long term (medical expenses associated with unhealthy habits). ((Hugs)) I feel your pain...just adding C's good to our budget has literally cost as much as DH and I eating because we feed him mostly healthy food.
It's beautiful here today! Ran to the park with C, let him play for a but, and then ran home. We got out for a family walk too before nap for both boys. There is an open house down the street, same floor plan as our's so might go check it out since they remodeled the kitchen very nicely. Couple other errands we are trying to decide if we will do them or not.

ewall I do coupon so I buy what's either on sale or I have a good coupon for. I also try to buy produce in season. I think the biggest expense is I try to buy organic. I may have to stop that until the farmers market near me opens in the spring. I'm always up for some tips!
wineandcheese I hate that it costs so much too... I went on a veggie/fruit run last week and I spent 40 dollars... I did get chocolate almond milk, to give it a shot, and now I'm obsessed. I don't buy organic though... we can't afford to. But I do wash all my produce and I feel that's good enough haha. We are starting a garden this spring I'm hoping will help cut my produce budget! I'd love some tips too ewall!
I worked all morning/early afternoon. Doing a few chores and relaxing this afternoon. I'm also going to give myself a pedicure! I think having pretty summer toes will break up the glum!
I am pulling the plug on our gym membership on Monday and purchasing from amazon a weight bench. I found a great deal on one and it'll save us money after I pay the cancellation fee. I also need to buy hubs a higher weight dumbbell! We are getting dedicated over here
Taught a sewing class this morning which went pretty well. Everyone left happy with A pair of copycat LLR leggings. Unfortunately since everyone was a novice, I helped the whole time and didn't have time to sew anything myself:(
travelbug chocolate almond milk is one of my favorite treats
We bought a Traeger grill today. We've been talking about it for a few months, and they finally started selling them at Costco again so we decided to go for it. I can't wait to start cooking with it.

We ran our errands and stopped at Costco on the way home for pizza and yogurt. Watching "The Whole Truth" and enjoying some German beers now and then heading to bed.

We had our neighbors over for dinner tonight to say thank you for all of their help this past year. It was a good thing H made a lot of food, 3 middle school boys eat a lot! It was so great to sit down and chat with them for longer than 10 min. Tomorrow will be a lazy day since I cleaned like the Tasmanian devil getting ready for tonight.
I fell asleep at 8 last night. I got a little over 10 hours of sleep. Guess I was tired lol.
I've got a breakfast casserole cooking and need to start on brownies to bring to our friend's house tomorrow. I also need to meal plan for the week and workout.
DH and I spent a few hours washing walls at your place yesterday. We also sold a few things that DH just wanted to give away. (Done weights we don't use as well as a work out bench.) We made $60!
**baby stuff below**
Today DH is going to go to a friends and hangout while I go to my last baby shower. (My family always does the shower after baby is here.) I am excited to see lots of family that I haven't seen in so long. And I have $300 in gift cards currently to toys r us, so I can go pick up some stuff I need/want but I've been waiting until after today just in case people get me the stuff I want.
It's so nice having DH home. Everyone in the house slept better. I got a 5 hour stretch!!! This is amazing since the night before I was up every hour after midnight
We started shopping the bulk of our grocery shopping at Aldi. (Previously we only went there for sweet potatotes to make dog treats). I bought their version of Mountain dew, and they changed the color from the electric green to clear soda. This is weird to me, drinking it out of a glass now. LOL
wineandcheese - We grilled some chicken last night, and it was the best chicken I have ever had. Oh my gosh, sooooooo good! I might never use my oven or stovetop again!
katespade I miss grilling. The grill's propane tank ran out a few months ago and H hasn't gotten it refilled. I miss grilled food. Usually we are the idiots outside grilling in the middle of a blizzard.

Happy Sunday!
I've been super productive this morning. H needed to catch up on work so I took R to Target to pick up some things. Of course they were out of the one thing I went there for, but NO WORRIES, I found other stuff to buy Then I came home, prepped dinner for tonight, made lunch for R, put him down for a nap, cleaned the house -- including literally scrubbing the showers (ugh!), and took a shower. Whew! Hopefully little man will sleep longer so I can relax a bit before folks come over for dinner later.
wineandcheese- we are also the ones grilling in the middle of a blizzard. That's why we made sure to have a covered deck off of our kitchen/dinning room.
Does Dunkin donuts coffee make anyone else sick? I'm fine with starbucks or stuff at home but my stomach literally hurts after a cup from Dunkin this morning.

I ran C to the park again this morning and then we all walked down to the store to return our DVD. Love getting to spend quality time with C outside, especially at the park! Boys are napping now...then we will probably stop by the open house. I also need to figure out dinner for tonight but have zero motivation to actually cook. Maybe we will grill tonight since its so nice out.
For those following...L has been taking great naps the last couple days! In the last week he has gone from 5 naps to 3- 4. Night sleep is better but still not perfect, especially since he has refused to nurse at bedtime a couple nights. Overall though I think it has improved a lot and I just hope it continues (it will probably go backwards just because I typed this out LOL). He has shots on Tuesday so it might be very short lived.
amaranth - I actually have that problem with Starbucks coffee.
My husband too. He won't drink Starbucks ever.
Haven't tried their coffee, but I tried Panera chai a few weeks ago and it's very different than other places and I loved it. Very aromatic and heavily spiced. Not sure if you like chai.

We don't have a Panera nearby, and we don't make coffee at home. However, I do have a local coffee shop I loooooove. Their drinks are so good, and they don't cause the same stomach upset as Starbucks does.
All coffee makes my stomach upset, I wonder if it's because the first time I had coffee was also after my first night of drinking. I was so hung over and I had 2 cups of coffee after never having it before and I promptly threw up everywhere. I don't know if I've ever been so hungover in my life. Lol!
My shower today was awesome. I loved seeing everyone. I feel so blessed to have so much family who is so generous. (So much clothing, and other stuff.)
