I want to make some felt button strips for C to make a chain (so multi color felt pieces and buttons). I also want to do popsicle sticks with Velcro glued on.

Can I get the Felt, buttons, and Velcro (preferably circles) at Michael's? Or is this more like a JoAnns type thing?

Michael's will have the best selection for all those items and they have better coupons too. Hobby lobby is another option if you have one near you. Joann's will have those things, but more premium quality and price and I prefer not to pay them for basic craft supplies.

Thank you! Somehow I knew you would have the right answer! Michael's is 1.5 miles away so I will try there first! Hobby Lobby is close too but not as close.

I definitely agree with amaranth. I really only go to Joann's for fabric.

Will I have to cut the felt or is this something that can be bought in strips like this? Do they sell Velcro circles vs the strips I am used to seeing?

Bonus of you have a cost estimate for Felt, buttons, velcro?

They should definitely have velco circles. They're pretty common for crafting. I would guess that they will also have felt strips, but I couldn't say for sure.

Cost wise, it depends on how much you're planning on buying. I wouldn't expect to spend more than $10 or so if you only need one bag of buttons, one pack of velcro, and a small/moderate amount of felt.

Thank you! So helpful! If I can't buy strips I can probably use my cutter I have for scrapbooking, right? This is all money well spent if it keeps him busy! I also need to buy paint and pipe cleaner but I know they sell little paints for like $1 each and pipe cleaner can't be too expensive. Should be able to do all of this for $20 or less.
