Talk to me about training fins. I'm signed up for a swim clinic next weekend (Feb 11) and just got the info packet which says that I need to bring fins.
Any recs before I just pick something randomly on Prime?

I think that the longer a fin is, the more likely a beginner is to misuse it by kicking with their knees. I'd recommend Finis Zoomers (or whatever other brand you prefer) because they're pretty much the gold standard in short fins.

Thanks! Do you find they are TTS? I wear anywhere from a Women's 9 in dress shoes to Women's 10 in running shoes, so I'm right on the border between size E and F for these ones.

I think so. I wear an 8 in regular shoes and a 8.5 in running shoes. ETA: and I have wide feet. I sized up to E and they fit fine, although if I wear them *too* long, they chafe a bit. You could fix this by also buying fin socks, but I just can't bring myself to do it, because I don't wear fins often. If you have narrow feet, size down. IMO.
