I like the product. It really stays on all day and doesn't transfer. However you have to keep reapplying the gloss to keep your lips hydrated and protect the color. I don't usually do glosses or reapply anything after the morning, so it seems high maintenance to me. I can usually get away with gloss in the morning after application, one mid day, one before eat, one after eat, one mid afternoon, and then I give up because I don't care after dinner what it looks like.
Also, you aren't supposed to wear any other lipsticks or balms while using lipsense. It doesn't stick well if you have wax buildup on your lips, and takes a few days in a row of wearing splotchily before it works right. I have way too many lipsticks to justify not wearing anything other than lipsense. I find myself wearing only lipsense for a week, then going back to regulars for a few weeks, then lipsense, etc.
So, if you want all day smudge proof, and you don't have a full lipstick wardrobe already, it's amazing. It's not something that's easy to just mix in with what you've already got.

Pretty much everything kategm, said. It wears well, but you can't use anything else, and I really don't like wearing lipgloss to bed. It also has a bit of a weird feel to me. The worst thing was that I couldn't get it off at night!
I'm totally addicted! I think I have about 10 different colors and 4 glosses. I love that you can layer colors to make new colors. Also, my kids will actually let me kiss them when I'm wearing lipstick now because they know it won't wipe off on them!

The neutrogena soap that comes in the clearish orange bar takes lipsense off really easily. I've heard the orange liquid works as well, I just haven't tried it to confirm.

Second time wearing it, today is an all day. Sunday was just a few hours of it. I am not a fan. Putting it on is not a comfortable experience. There shouldn't be a learning curve with lipstick. Second, when I just went to the bathroom I saw that I pretty much had a really dark and thick lip liner look and the product in the middle of my mouth was all but gone.

what makes it difficult to apply?
Each coat has to be put on in one continuous swipe or it gets really patchy. Also...three layers. The paint smell and "tingling" isn't so great either. Both of which do subside once the glossy coat is put on.

It will wear better the more days in a row you use it. Days 2 and 3 are the worst in terms of wear for me. By day 4 and 5 it's a lot better. It's exfoliating your lips hence the tingling. That improves also. It really helps if you pretty much wipe all of the visible lipstick off the doefoot wand. That helps get the thinnest coat possible. I wear my lighter colors when I'm in the exfoliating week. But yeah, see above. I think it's too high maintenance for me.
I like reapplying and being cheap so I think this isn't at all for me. It also sounds like you spend WAY more time applying at the beginning of the day than you'd spend throughout the course of the day reapplying.

It sounds way too high-maintenance for me and I don't care for the look generally. Plus the whole MLM aspect, which I don't want to support. But seriously I see stuff on Pinterest when I'm browsing about how to apply it or how to push through the "exfoliation process", and it all seems like a bunch of BS to me. "DO NOT GIVE UP" lol
I bought some from dh's step sister because she cornered me on Christmas eve. I liked it ok but I can't handle the exfoliation process. I don't want to wear the same lip product or color everyday and lipsence is too expensive to buy multiples in the beginning.
Yeah...pretty sure the surface cells of my lips turn over on a regular basis, no?
I'm fairly certain that all skin works this way. WTF, Lipsense? Save
I'm also having trouble believing their claim that other lip products are commonly made with lead. If that was true, then based on the sheer volume of lip products that I go through I should have lead poisoning by now. Lol.
Over the years, there have been reports alleging dangerous levels of lead in lipstick. FDA has analyzed hundreds of lipsticks and other cosmetic lip products, such as lip glosses, for lead. We found that levels of lead in these products were from below the detection limit to about 7 ppm.
It goes on to say that the recommended maximum for lead in cosmetics is 10 ppm, so none of the products they tested exceeded that maximum.
Ok, I actually clicked on those images above to read the whole thing...seriously with this shit? People...no. there is not years of buildup on your lips that takes a month to remove. That is patently absurd and I'm going to side eye the SHIT out of anybody who wants to defend it unless you can give me some actual science.
This is just marketing genius. You can ONLY wear this product FOREVEEERR and if it doesn't work for you it'd becasue uou didn't COMMIT!!!

Damn MLMs....
This is exactly where I am. I'm a little curious about it, but I can't put any stock into this exfoliation business. I exfoliate almost every day with my toothbrush, and sometimes again if I'm wearing a matte LL. You wanna know why your lips are peeling? Because there is a fuckton of alcohol in that shit.

and if your lips feel more hydrated after using this product exclusively for a month - including sleeping with their special balm on, it's probably because you spent a month ACTUALLY being consistent with wearing a decent lip balm...
