Now that I've found a healthy batter mix, I'm planning on making freezer waffles as a quick and easy breakfast option.
Has anyone done this before? I think it makes sense to go with square waffles so they'll fit in the toaster more easily, but I'd love to hear tips from someone with experience.
I use to do this all the time. I always made square waffles. I would put them in gallon freezer bags and pull them out to toast them. Worked great.
I got a new waffle maker for Christmas that I haven't tried yet. It's this one. While you don't need to spend that much money by any means, I would suggest something with removable plates to make it easier to clean. That's why I asked for a new one this year.
bk1 - I hadn't thought about removable plates! That's a great idea! I don't plan on using it very often, because I'll make big batches at a time, but I might see if I can find one with removable plates at a decent price.
