Me too... and it is much more fun to speculate about whether the baby would be beautiful like kate or look imbred like William than to think the world is falling to pieces.

My 15 y.o. self is getting huffy about you calling his looks "imbred" lol. I had a huge crush on him in high school.
I could not imagine the world caring so much about the contents of my ute. Talk about overwhelming.

All of this. That's because he was hot back then. I'll be sad for Harry when he loses it again too.

He was way more smoking hot at 16. I lurved him. Not gonna lie, I would still boing him any day. But Harry is now way hotter.
How much would you love a little baby girl princess??!?!? I melt just thinking about it.
How long as has it been since a princess has been born to the Royals? The Queen doesn't count since she was older when her dad became king, right?
Well Eugenie and Beatrice are in their 20s, so not significantly long.
I want her to be pregnant but man do I feel bad for her sometimes. Not too bad, because, you know, diamonds and couture and fabulous shoes and exotic travel and that HAIR. But I would hate to be the focus of so much attention.

You know, I was thinking something along the lines of "who really cares?" but you have a very good point here about everything else being too depressing.

The queen was young when her dad was crowned. There are cute photos of her and her sister wearing little crowns at the coronation.
The queen had Princess Anne before she became the queen (age 25). The next princesses were Beatrice and Eugenie. And Louise, I guess, although her parents opted to call her Lady rather than Princess to take some of the pressure off her.
Has Kate ever been seen drinking in public? I know there have been other times where she's opted for water over alcohol, so I wonder if she does it because of the pregnancy rumors ... like, if she always accepted a glass of wine and then suddenly didn't, the pregnancy rumors would be much more founded. But if she always asks for water then they don't have much to go on.
MBC - that's what I'm wondering too. If she regularly drinks water or something non-alcoholic in public, I don't see why this time is any more convincing than other times.

This comes out every time she refuses alcohol in public, so they just recycle the same ol' story.
There was also something last year about how she and William inspected care boxes going to a third-world country, and how William tasted a packet of high-protein peanut paste and she turned it down. Pregnancy rumors were flying because, apparently, pregnant women aren't supposed to consume peanuts out of fear of giving the fetus an allergy or something (which was the first time I'd ever heard something like that). I'm interested to see if she'll wear a tiara to any of the state dinners. The history behind the tiaras is really cool, especially when they would switch between countries after foreign princes and princesses married each other. All the European royal families are related through each other through Queen Victoria and King Christian IX of Denmark, and the family connections between all of them are really interesting to me.
As far as I know, as an avid Kate watcher, she has only been seen drinking champagne in public a handful of times (the event she covered for Prince Charles last year, I think at one of the events for the Olympics, etc.) so drinking in water in public doesn't really mean anything in my opinion, especially in Singapore.
She's so thin I'm sure she didn't want any extra calories at a 7 course dinner. William said he'd love to make an announcement around New Year's so my antennae won't be up until then.
She is so small, I'm guessing about 4oz of even caffeinated tea gives her quite a lift. I'm not saying that to make fun I'm saying that as a person who spent a few year at a buck o' five myself.
Because they're not the children of a soverign or the direct heir? In that case, going backward it was Princess Anne, then QE2 and her sister Princess Margaret, and then their aunt Princess Mary.
Side note - Princess Margaret was freaking gorgeous (here she's wearing the same tiara Kate wore at the wedding):
Hey, the timing is right. Didn't they hint about TTC a year or so after getting married? I wouldn't be surprised if she is.
And yes I agree this is a nice diversion from other sad news.
My bet is that they want to wait until the Jubilee events, including this trip, were over before they start TTC. I wouldn't want to be in my first trimester and hanging around on boats or trapsing through Singapore.
William told someone in the crowds during this trip that he wants two children. I agree that it's nice to hear fun, happy stories like this once in a while.
