Hello. I'm stever -Heather- and I mostly lurk. I'm 43, graduated from high school in '91, and backpacked to Prague by myself when it was still part of Czechoslovakia. I've also got two small kids and am procrastinating like a 22 year old at establishing myself professionally, so I'm not all old.

Hey, what part of the country are you from? How old are your kids? Do you say long john or eclair?
I'm from NJ, living in NC. My kids are 4 and 6. I never heard of a long john before this board. I say eclair. Oh, and I'm 40. Which my kids remind me is ancient.

Whaaaa? I've never heard of calling an eclair a long john.
I'm from So Cal and my boys are 4 and 7. I've been with my H for 18 years, married for 8.

Hiya! 48 year old here. And I'm always happy with pastry but I haven't actually seen a custard filled one here in London, though I'm sure it exists. Not too many donut stores on offer.

They might have them at Pain Quotidien at St Pancras station. There very popular in Belgium/France.
I'm growing older but not up. My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck, let the winds of time blow over my head. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

Would Krispy Kreme do? They're round but get the job done. There used to be Krispy Kreme in Harrods and Canary Wharf.
