We had two days in a row of DS1 screaming "I hate you!" over trivial stuff. I was hoping it would get better when he turns 6-7. Now I know it doesn't get better until they move out of the house.

Not a parent, but I coach kids. The 7 year old girl is making me insane. Last week she asked if I changed my hair, then told me she didn't like it and it was better the other color. In December she told me I smelled like her grandma. And she lies about everything, which makes me completely insane. I only have her about 3 hours a week, so I have no clue how her parents deal. Hopefully wine.
No joke. I tossed my 7yr old's Valentine's Day candy in the trash. ON VALENTINE'S DAY. She didn't even have a chance to eat the fun dip that she had been salivating over because she was being such a beast. I warned this kid over 3 times and she was not movin. Stubborn little thing with sass for miles.
The world was almost one 7 year old short last week. Trying to get him out of the house, I kept *calmly* saying, "DS, we have x minutes to go, let's get a move on." Rinse and repeat for 10 minutes. When we're at the absolute last minute that I'm comfortable leaving the house and he still hadn't even changed his clothes, I yelled at him. He then replies, "Why are you always yelling?!"
BECAUSE YOU DON'T HEAR ME WHEN I AM CALM THAT'S WHY YOU DEVIL CHILD.
