We are about to list our condo for sale. Our agent came by yesterday and took photos. I think they look like poop. I'm looking for someone who is "in the know" regarding this kind of stuff to take a look and let me know if I'm being too picky. I feel like she took photos of the furniture instead of the layout of our home. And the only photo she took of the master bath is of the toilet. We spent a lot of time and $ getting our condo ready to list, so maybe I'm taking it all too personally that not all that effort is showing in the photos.
Is anyone willing to take a look for me and let me know honest thoughts?

You can pm me- I'm a realtor. I'll be honest.
I do professional photography for listings (although under a certain price point I might not necessarily). Investment properties (ones that someone would come to do a total reno) is an example of where I wouldn't use professional photographs.

Thank you. Our sale price is pretty low for the area, so I don't expect to get super fancy photos, but I don't feel like the flow of the condo is captured at all.

When we listed our house, I hated the pictures our realtor took, so I took my own and then asked him to use them instead. You should not feel bad at all if you want to go that route!

Yeah, this is what my husband said. But, we already had to totally rewrite the listing description that she wrote and I am starting to feel like we chose the wrong person. I'm quite discouraged.
We are closing on our house on March 3rd with our next door neighbor as the buyer. We went under contract without officially listing. Even so, our agent had a professional photographer take pictures of our house in case something fell through. So, unless your agent is a professional photographer, she probably needs to hire someone.

When we recently sold, my H haaaated our pro photos. Our agent listed the house without showing us the pics first. I thought they were weird but didn't want to rock the boat too much, so we compromised by having her remove the few that he hated the most. Lol.
Looking back, I do think maybe they hurt the process. The house was way cuter in my amateur pictures, IMO. I'd definitely take it seriously if you don't think they do the condo justice.

Catlawdy, mrs.jacinthe, after feedback from daisybuchannan and HiC, I had a professional come out today and take some photos. I can tell that they are going to be much better just based on his gear and how/where he was setting up. I will PM you the links to the original photos, though, in case you are interested.
I missed this yesterday but I want to see both sets. I'm house shopping obsessed, even though we never ever ever are going to move... (I've put too much work into this house!)
FWIW I didn't like the realtor photos of our properties (both my house and my then-fiance's house were listed) and took ones that the realtor agreed were better and placed on the listing.
